Thanks. I have been back and fourth between PEK and Sousse a number of times, both on foot and by taxi but because of the time since my last visit I was hoping someone who'd been there more recently may know what's around as far as evening entertainment, if anything or what may be mentioned in older reviews but may have closed since.

As far as travel, I'd rather not be stuck in a car for too long because I sometimes get travel sick, so that's the reason I'd rather take a train if possible and just take a taxi from the nearest station to what I want to see. I was going to mention that earlier as an afterthought but I ran out of time to edit the previous post. Thanks also for recommemding the fishing village. The friend I'm going with will love that.

P.s. Not sure it matters, as far as recommendations, but we're staying at the Diar el Andalous.

Most entertainment in Pek is hotel based.

Confusion on recent threads about train travel. to where and when !

Would you not have to go to Sousse for a train to Hammamet?

White tourist taxi for your Hammamet/Carthage /Dougga jaunt.

i can only suggest as we used that service often for day trips/

Plenty room in these mini-buses/vans .

If just the two of us ,we sometimes teamed up with another couple at hotel to share cost .

Yes I did suspect i'd have to take the train from Sousse but I've walked from Sousse to PEK and back, so I don't see it as a big deal, although I'm sure the friend I'm going with this time wouldn't be up for that so we'd probably take a taxi. I guess I could ask a driver to stop on a longer trip, so thats a thought, although I do like the idea of a long train journey there.

Yeah, I think its best to plan ahead as a lot could've changed in nearly 8 years. 😂 I can pretty much guarantee I couldn't pay the friend I'm going with enough to do that walk either.
