Airshow traffic question

Quick question. If the air show ends at about 3:30, how long do you think we'll have to wait it out until the traffic on the AC expressway becomes bearable? We'll need to head north afterwards and we're debating whether to just spend the night or head back. I'd love to save $300 plus but don't want to deal with insane traffic afterwards. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Since many spectators spend the day on the beach, they do not pack up at 3:30 and leave, as concert goer's would, at the end of the show - so the traffic congestion is more staggered and diluted..

Also, it depends where you park - casino garages with a pay on your way out, will be more congested.

So, contingent on no major accidents, things should clear to normal in abt an hour (4:30)

Additionally, I have alway's found the White Horse a much less traveled route vs the AC expressway, when leaving after a major event.

Also, keep in mind that this event occurs midweek (Wednesday), so leaving AC after 5PM will help you avoid rush hour traffic north of the Driscoll bridge.

I would think by 5pm it should be okay. The traffic on the city streets right after is more the problem than the expressway.
