We will be anchoring Lembar Harbor mid February arriving 7 am and departing 6 pm. We are not really interested in the excursions offered by the ship as we would prefer to focus our limited time on a beautiful beach and do some snorkeling or visit areas with beautiful nature. We will be coming off a 6 day stay in Bunaken Marine Park, North Sulawesi and a 5 day stay in Ubud.

We don't expect that Lombok snorkeling will compare to snorkeling in the Coral Triangle but we are endeavoring to find the best snorkeling experience we can have given the time constraint. Any suggestions regarding how to arrange for a decent day of snorkeling from the Lembar Harbor? We have seen some suggestions to find our way to Cocotinos Beach (taxi?) and book a snorkeling trip with the local dive shop, Odyssea Divers, to one of the Gilis nearby. Not sure which of the Gilis would be best for snorkeling so would appreciate any suggestions. Has anyone had recent experience they can share? Otherwise, if a decent snorkel is not possible, can anyone recommend a spot to enjoy nature, bring a picnic and just take in awesome scenery for the day? If anyone can recommend a driver that would be most appreciated.
