Dear all,
If I arrived T1, can I walk from T1 to T2 without immigration control?

I flight from Russia to Malaysia via HKG. I arrive HKG at T1 with Aeroflot Russian Airlines and i leave HKG to KUL with AirAsia. I have already checked in online and got my boarding pass. I don't have checked baggage, but i have a cabin baggage.
Do i need to go through immigration T2? And do i need a Visa for transfer?
Please advise, how I will do this.
thank you in advance,
N
If you use online check-in to get your Air Asia boarding pass, and you only carry cabin bags, then you don't need to go through immigration. Just follow the signs to flight transfers. Show the staff your Air Asia boarding pass, and clear security to emerge on the departure side. No transit visa required.
On the other hand, if for whatever reason, you cannot get your Air Asia boarding pass in advance, then you will have to clear all formalities and go to T2. Air Asia does not operate a transit desk in the secured area. You will then need to make sure you can enter HK with your passport/visa.
There is no AirAsia Transfer Counter within the airside zone.
AirAsia flights out of Hong Kong are allowed to do the web check-in, but you need to contact AirAsia Hong Kong office and check if the self-printed boarding pass is accepted at the boarding gate.

Why wouldn't airlines accept self-printed or electronic boarding passes?

I will be arriving in Hong Kong on a Thai Air flight from Bangkok connecting with a United Airlines flight to the US. I will have checked bags. Will I have to collect my checked bags in Hong Kong and then recheck and clear security to board my connecting flight to the US? I only have an hour and a half between connecting flights.
Don't know. Did you buy your flight as a single ticket? Did Thai Air tell you that your luggage will be checked through to the US?
