KAtarina line Infinity Deluxe Cruise review

Just finished a 1 week Dubrovnik to Split sail in the new Infinity ship run by Katarina lines. I'll share my experience since there is so little info on this ship.

The cruise offers 1 week of relaxing and touring the Dalamation islands. The itinerary is wonderful. YOu sail in the morning relaxing in the beautiful deck with a hot tub and then you take a walking tour in port in the afternoons. Some dinners are on board and others are on your own in the town.

The boat is awesome. Brand new with all the amenities. Lots of space for everyone. You never feel crowded, the one exception to the comfort is the super hard bedding. I mean super hard bedding. It was difficult for me to sleep at times the beds were that uncomfortable.

Deluxe tours come with a tour guide. Ours was awesome- Aida. Food is plentiful and carefully prepared and presented by an interested staff that works very hard. Be sure to tip well - tips are not included.

As we were sailing I saw some of the other ships that were probably not deluxe ships. There is a huge difference in the aesthetics of the ships. If you can swing it go for the deluxe. Guests on these ships are older - average age was about mid 60s in our ship with 3 or so couples in their 30-50 range. Great mix of international guests.

Would do it again tomorrow if I could.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed the cruise.

Croatia is largely a non-tipping country. Therefore, please don't encourage tipping.

We are going on this cruise in a few weeks. What clothes did you take, do you dress up for dinner, on the ship? and what did you wear at dinner on the islands. Did you take high heels We have three young adults with us in their early 20's too.

Nobody will thank you for high heels if it is a wooden deck.

We are looking to book the same trip for end of July next year but are getting conflicting quotes from the Katarina website and our travel agent....with the agents price being $485 dearer per person! Is it that the website quote does not include some taxes or other charges? Could someone please shed some light on this? We are comparing same cruise, same dates and same cabins. Agent quote is $$2820pp and website quote is $2335pp? 7 day cruise split to Dubrovnik on the Infinity.

I would be very surprised if all taxes and fees weren't included in the quoted price. One way of checking would be to go online and try to book it. Go all the way to when it asks you for credit card details. The total price, including any additional charges should be displayed before then.
