Hi Everyone,

Has anyone stayed at this property please and can give some feedback? Especially with regard to location, nearby restaurants and getting into town and beaches? I have researched the reviews and I see from Google Maps that it is off the bus route. We don't mind taxis but a little feedback would be welcome, thank you.

Haven’t stayed there but walk past it going down to the northern end of Ag Prok beach. I stay at Kavos Boutique Hotel a little further up the hill which has an excellent restaurant called Stelida. Not much else other than Avali which is literally on the beach with fantastic views down the entire beach. Usually walk into Ag Prok vllage at night on a dirt road alongside the beach passing the salt pans - a 20 minute walk from Kavos - and get a taxi back for about €10. Another 10 minutes to Agia Anna where there are some great tavernas on the beach. Plenty of places in Ag Prok but wouldn’t recommend walking back on the very busy narrow roads in the dark.

sunandbeach69,

Thank you so much. Not too far to the beaches then. Thank you for the info on tavernas too.

We have stayed at Lianos Village at least four times, and have really enjoyed the hotel and its location. The hotel has been extensively renovated and upgraded in the past year or two, and appears much improved from the many photos and videos I've seen online (we won't get a personal look at what's changed until we're able to travel again and return to Naxos). We especially like the sweeping scenic views of the island and the sea from the swimming pool deck, breakfast patio and many of the rooms.

As sunandbeach69 mentioned, Agios Prokopios beach is just a short stroll down the hill from the hotel -- in 5 minutes you're walking along a beautiful and very long sandy beach. Closest restaurants are the Avali and the Stelida restaurant at the Kavos Hotel, but once you reach the main resort area at Agios Prokopios you're spoiled for choices, and even more a short walk beyond at Agia Anna and, past that, Maragas and Plaka. We have always walked back to Lianos from dinner at any of those areas, in the dark, and have not had a problem with the traffic (we're very cautious -- we've dealt with crazy traffic on plenty islands so we've never been bothered by the drivers on Naxos). The busiest part of the walk back to the hotel is along the stretch of the main road leading to Naxos Town, but once you turn off onto the side road at Lagos Mare Hotel, there is significantly less traffic to worry about.

We have always walked into Naxos Town from the hotel because we enjoy the exercise and the scenery along the way. It takes over an hour but in our view is far preferable to taking a crowded bus. For the return trip after dark, however, we always take a taxi back.

Getting around from the hotel has never been an issue for us, though for anyone who doesn't like walking or has mobility issues, the hotel would not be a good choice location-wise. Besides walking everywhere, we have rented bicycles for a day or two for daytime rides to/from town and some of the west coast beaches, and have twice rented a car to tour more distant parts of the island.

Overall, we find it a great place to stay and would happily return there again.

Danny B,

Great feedback and information. The views look amazing. We have visited the Greek Islands for over 40 years and always wanted to go to Naxos. Now's our time!

Thank you very much. It looks like we have made the right choice.
