Hello

We are staying in Elounda and been told that there is lovely old taverna a few miles away(we intens to hire car)

Apparently really unusual and run by lovely old couple using their own products and great food

Has anyone any idea

It looked somewhere above and between Ag Nic and Elounda.

Thank you

The pics I saw were of an old Greek man in traditional dress and appeated to have large orange/red possibly peppers hanging all around?

Thankyou for your thoughts

that's fine have a good trip

Pano Elounda is the original village above and does have a small taverna but obviously not the one you were looking for

The taverna mentioned at Pano Elounda is the Karambakios, a truly local place to enjoy a mezze meal.

It is a twenty minute walk up the hill or five minutes by car or taxi from the square (5/6 euros)

It is only open Wednesday through to Sunday evenings but well worth a visit.

Enjoy your holiday
