Exchange Rate

Wondering if I should get my euros before I travel or should I take sterling and exchange when I arrive. Best rate I've been offered today is 1.11 from Thomas Cook. Flying out on 25 October.

Linda

Not a bad rate but is it before or after commission? My bank is giving me 1.10 after commission today..

There are plenty of ATM,s in any major European city these days. depending on your bank card you may prefer to simply take out cash as and when you need it rather than carry large amounts around.. my Santander card gives me commission free withdrawals on any ATM in Europe.

Thank you.....no commission as I've just exchanged some cash so 1.11 probably best going at the moment.

If you use an ATM, use the one in the bank and not the one on the sidewalk. This is for security.
