Hi. Will a zone 1-6 travel card cover the journey from London to slough?
Unfortunately not, Slough is a few miles beyond the limit of Transport for London's zone 6, it's on a national rail line from Paddington station, you'll need a national rail ticket to Slough OR an extension from zone 6 to Slough if you already own a 1-6 travelcard.
Are you staying out in Slough and travelling into London every day by any chance? If so you can buy a rail ticket that includes a TfL tube travelcard.
No sorry. Slough is outside the London travel zones. If you are traveling to or from Slough by train and you have a London travel card (not Oyster), then you can get a ticket from the boundary of your paid for zone to Slough. If you are planning on staying in Slough and visiting London every day, that will still work out very expensive in terms of travel.
Am just making a day trip to Windsor and saw that the train from paddington changes at slough. I will be purchasing a 7 day zone 1-6 travel card so thought if slough is within this area I would only need to buy a rail ticket from slough to Windsor!
You can buy (at a ticket counter) a ticket "from the boundary of zone 6" to Windosr.
However ... can I ask what the circumstances are that lead to you buying a Z1-6 TravelCard?
Please read this article--the end covers using travelcards to get to Windsor.
IMHO you'd be better off buying a full fare to Windsor on one of the fast trains from Paddington.
