We are planning to drive to NB from Maine and the Nova Scotia side is too much driving. We tentatively have a reservation in Alma, NB which is about 30 min drive to Hopewell Rocks. Where would it be best to view the enormous tide differences? I heard you should go to the same place 6 hours apart - so would that simply be Alma at low and high tide beg/ end of the day and go to Hopewell Rocks in between? Or better to go to Fundy National Park and skip the Rocks?

The Hopewell rocks has a park and viewing area. The best thing is to see them at high and low tides. Look up the tide table for times on your dates.

The Hopewell Rocks is a unique spot to see the tides. There is nothing in the world like it. We took a guided tour there and walked on the ocean floor at low tide. Honestly, the whole experience was surreal.

In Nova Scotia you might want to stop in Truro and see the tidal bore at the Fundy Discovery Site. We have seen it on August 12th. Really phenomenal...
