Marriott Property with Points recommendation

We will be visiting Vancouver for two nights in August and using Marriott Points to stay (family of 4, two daughters ages 11 and 8). Since we are using points, many of the properties will "cost" us the same amount of points. Any recommendations for the best one to stay at?

Options appear to be:

Westin Grand

Westin Bayshore

Marriott Pinnacle

Delta Hotels Downtown Suites.

Thanks for any advice!

My choice ranked by preference.

1. Westin Bayshore...a resort feel right in the city. Next to Stanley Park

2 Marriott Pinnacle. Close to Canada Place

3 Westin Grand. Good suite hotel a bit east of attractions imo

4 Delta Ok Really not much street ambiance ..my least favourite location.

The Westin Bayshore and Marriott Pinnacle provide double beds. The Westin Grand and Delta provide Queen size beds. That makes a difference for some families.

They are all relatively well located, and the small difference in distances between these hotels might not be too important unless you have specific plans to be near certain attractions or activities.

Thanks to both of you. Queen beds do make a difference, though the location of the Westin Bayshore looks hard to beat.

If you had to choose between Delta and Westin Grand, which one would you prefer?

Bayshore and Pinnacle have king size beds too. Would take Bayshore hands down. I'd choose as listed in post 1. There are many more Marriott properties in Vancouver to complicate the choice.

Tough call, but I do like that the Delta is so close to Waterfront station, which is the main transit hub for the city. Makes getting around very simple.

The Bayshore is the best on your list. It is a bit further of a walk, but it is right next to Stanley Park.

Westin Grand over Delta for me. Delta may be closer to transit but area ambiance is also something that I look for in a hotel. Prefer to walk out into a more vibrant area.

Thanks,

I looked at both Bayfront and Marriott Pinnacle. Both indicate that the rooms would have two double beds. They do not appear to have rooms with two queens (at least according to the website). That could be a bit of a pain, trying to share a double bed!

If beds are the deal breaker then look at the Westin Grand. Bayshore definitely has only doubles or king.

I would choose the Westin Grand over the Delta as well.
