Best Rooms - Quiet & Close to the Beach

A group of 5 couples (learly 50's, but young at heart) heading to the Riu Jalisco, January 17th. Can anyone let me know which are the best rooms? Close to the beach and hopefully quiet. Any suggestions for the restaurants? We have been to The Mayan, Punta Cana, Cuba, so we are seasoned travellers. Any other suggestions? Also does anyone have an email for the hotel?

"Any other suggestions?"

Do you like beach walking? Hope so, because it's a very long and great beach to walk. You can literally walk miles north and south of the resort -- and if/when you do, wear your bathing suits & take towels, for refreshing dips along the way!!

Highly-recommend a walk to the north, to Bucerias - a small, and very friendly little town, with lots of sights to see and experience - including a pretty little town square with church, street stands (offering great food!!), nearby restaurants, stores, colourful streets, and a small flea market. Great little place, and so well-worth a visit or two!!

Enjoy your stay!!

Well within, or about an hour ... from the resort to the town square ... depending on walking speed, the number of swim-stops, picture-stops, and the like along the way!! :-)

The quieter rooms are on the higher floors and NOT facing the courtyard - which means you're sacrificing the prettier views in order to get the quieter location.

Some of the noise is generated in the hallways, particularly by guests making their way "home" late at night, sometimes after enjoying a little too much tequila!!! There's not much you can do about this - I'd suggest you bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
