I'll be taking a vallarta plus bus tomorrow morning and need to get from calle Morelos to the zapopan terminal. Can anybody suggest what bus route to take and where the best place to catch the bus is?

All advice appreciated, thanks!

There is a bus line called "Pretren" which will get you there. It's a red bus and costs 6 or 7 pesos. You'll have to go to the rapid rail station Juarez to catch it, which is located at the corner of Juarez and Federalismo. Since you didn't specify where on Morelos you're located, you'll have to look it up on a map---not hard to find, though. The Pretren bus drops you off very close to the Zapopan bus station, at the corner of Avenida Aviacion and the highway that goes to Tepic. Alternatively, a taxi will cost about 150 or 200 pesos.

Seems like a hassle to take public transportation to Zapopan and I plan to spend a few more pesos and take the taxi, as suggested, especially if you have luggage.

Probably an excellent decision. It will not cost much, and you and your luggage will be taken right to the station.

It is a hassle, but sometimes economics dictate one's mode of travel, as it did when I first started to visit Guadalajara in the late 90s. It seems that most locals take the city bus to get to either bus station.

Certainly if one cannot affod the taxi, the bus is fine. So is walking.

But for someone vacationing from the US or Canada, the $10 bucks should not be a deal-breaker.

We took the bus when we had only small bags. But with anything more than a carryon size, a cab is way more convenient for us
