Our flight leaves at 05:30 and assuming we have to be at the airport at least an hour early, I'm wondering about just crashing in the airport over night. Has anyone ever done this? Thoughts?

I know there is a hotel without walking distance, but the reviews are questionable and the price steep for a mere 5 hours of sleep.

Thank you,

You will be 5 hrs walking around and seating, they wont let you sleep. Perhaps is a coffee shop open were you can kill time. Sergio

There's a website devoted to the subject; here's their page for the Guadalajara airport:

Well my lat flight in (November) they had a new convenience store across the street. The store may be closed late at night, but they have some outdoor seating that might be useful (Sersol, is that a 24-hour store there?). There is some indoor seating off to the left (coming out of the gates) to serve the Starbucks and Burger Kings. There is also WiFi, but you have to buy something to get the key.

I don't recommend sleeping in airports at all. Just to easy for some small belongings to disappear. Unfortunately, GDL is too small to "walk off" to many hours, but it's relatively safe.
