If it's a Coach, it's a maximum of 4. 1/2 hours before the driver has to take a minimum 45 minute break from driving.

This post and the other post do not mention what country they plan to travel in.

Laws vary from one country to another, so a blanket statement "a maximum of 4. 1/2 hours" could be misleading.
