Ray (reply #18) and 552DDT (reply #19 ) are accurate and everyone should read them. You should also read the consumer protection law: https://www.profeco.gob.mx/juridico/pdf/l_lfpc_06062006_ingles.pdf
If you're in Mexico when you sign, you can rescind within 5 days no matter what ULC says.
Also, as of May 2022, the ULC contract is full of holes. For just a few examples: my version had two contradictory jurisdiction statements, one proclaiming Mexican law/jurisdiction and one electing Panama. Mexican consumer protection law voids any election of a foreign jurisdiction, so the Panama crap is blown out of the water. Also, with me at least, they failed to fulfill thier own contractual obligation to deliver they contract in Spanish, which gives me grounds to void the contract. Now, I don't speak Spanish, but they are still obligated by the wording of the contract and by Mexican law to deliver it in Spanish.
If you're past the 5 days, voiding for failure to deliver in Spanish may be your only option, if they failed to do that with you. You'll need a lawyer likely to handle the voiding, but a rescission within 5 days you may not need one if you can write the letter yourself and get it in registered mail with return receipt.
Hope this helps. I'm still in the dispute phase for my deposit, so we'll see if this ends with the credit card company (if they read and agree with my reasoning) or if I have to take my case all the way to PROFECO. I'll try to follow with an update. Also, be sure to look on the date on this because I'm sure they'll try to patch some of thier contract flaws as a result of my dispute.
