This place provides an interesting alternative to the ubiquitous wineries of the region. The mead comes in several flavours, particularly enjoyed the cherry! The setup inside the old house is querky and cosy with bee viewing and a variety of bee products. We each had...More

A quant little place, does need some tlc but hey, that’s the country and it’s lovely. My issue here is with the food, while it all sounds great, the finishing touches just aren’t quite there. The roast lamb special was school dinner like, with dry...More

Lovely little place. We sat in the sunshine and enjoyed the cheese board and the mead tasting platter. Came away with a couple of bottles of the Keelys Magic and the Leatherwood & Pear. Relaxed and full. Definitely will stop by again.

A lovely old building in need of some TLC abut full of character. I should be great but we felt really let down by this place. Entry is by the side (which is odd if you come from the road where the original door way...More

You have a point. The original cottage was built in 1879 and does need a lot of TLC. We've been working on it bit by bit on a limited budget. Parking is at the back and the front door faces a busy road. We decided...More

Very friendly service. Good quality food. Unfortunately the menu was limited on the day we drove past. Understandably due to preparation for the upcoming weekend local festival. You must ask to see their indoor beehive. The kids and adults alike would love it

Enjoyed great tender honey tamarind free range pork ribs, as part of the Murrumbateman moving feast. Enjoy the mead sampling and watch the bee's in the cathedral hive.

We stopped here by chance on a cool winter day and had a cheese platter and two glasses of mulled mead. Beautifully presented, quality fare and very enjoyable! The service is friendly and leisurely, not a rushed 'fast food' type of place. Stop by for...More

Only a short drive from Canberra, this little gem provides an excellent destination for a winter lunch. The pizzas were delicious but the highlight was the mulled mead. Perfect for a cold winter day.

Had not visited for some time and was very impressed with the quality of meals and service. The daily specials and pizzas we had were delicious as was the mulled mead on a very cold winter's day.

Win's Creek Meadery produces small batches of some of Australia's finest mead (honey wine). Each batch is slightly different depending on the type of honey and location where the bees collected it. You can see bees at work though the viewing windows of an indoor cathedral hive. Browse the gift shop for local hand made ceramics, quilts, stained glass, beeswax candles and honey. In addition to weekly chef specials, the cellar door restaurant features meals prepared with regional produce, free range meat and eggs, house made cakes, and fair trade organic coffee.
