This unique restaurant does not have a kitchen, only serves ham and similars cold with bread and cheese( two kinds) and a "salad" of marinated funghi and artichoke. But excellent!!
Ai bintars is the best place to enter and enjoy a wonderful ham. A typical hosteria the oldest taste flavors ham and cheese and last but not least the wine I know this place from about 50 years ago ! I recommend you the best...ham in San Daniele ! It is not expensiveMore
We were told to see another place in the neighbourhood but it was closed due to reconstruction works. So we went there and it was full of local guests all eating the same: San Daniele Ham. They also places some local cheese and pickles -...but made of oyster mushrooms. I never had better once. It was just delicious. Anytime again.More
If you are looking for some pasta, pizza or grilled meat, go elsewhere such as trattoria dal piciul close by in San Daniele. If you want to sample the best prosciutto in Italy, this is the place!! Prosciutto is just fabulous here. Small menu of...prosciutto, salami, cheese, artichoke and nushroom platter which makes a great lunch meal along with a great bottle of wine they serve. Matteo and family are a pleasant bunch of Italians willing to serve you. We went there twice during our 14 day stay in Italy.More
Not only does the prosciutto melt in your mouth, you can wash it down with possibly the best german beer ever made. You can't be disappointed. Went there with family who live in the region. They told me they have tried all the restaurants in...san Danielle and this one has the best prosciutto and beer . Damn they were right.More
Amazing! Part of 6 with 2 children. Came in, sat down and they just brought out plates of prosciutto, cheese, mushrooms and artichokes. There is something about not having to order at a restaurant. They have s few things they do and they do it...well. I did not see a menu and was brought some white wine to compliment the melt in your mouth prosciutto they are renowned for. My family from Friuli were all born in San Daniele and when they come back to visit they always make room for a stop at AI Bintars. A definite must if in San Daniele del Friuli.More
Tratoria ain't Bintars is for me the best place to eat San Daniele proschuto. They actually don't serve anything else as San Daniele proscutto and some salami with perfect white bread.... And actually you don't need anything else but a good bottle of red wine.
You would visit Ai Bintars because you want to try the best possible Italian prosciutto. Service is very friendly and the menu is short: prosciutto ( and some cheese). Remember not to mention Parma...
Prosciutto perfectly sliced...that's what this place is all about...does anyone require more? Order some cheese or mushrooms and other meats but nothing can overshadow the delicate prosciutto they serve here! The background noise of the prosciutto blade serving up the next plate of heaven is...very reassuring and music to the ears! Friendly and casual and worth the drive wherever you are coming from.More
We are visitin this traditional Trattoria Ai Bintars for many years also with friends. Quality service by the Family, nice traditional plates with diferent specialities from Friuli specialy prosciutto. Good offer from wines. Reasonable prices one of best places in San Daniele!.
After wondering about in the town of San Daniele del Friuli for a while waiting for the restaurants to open up for dinner, we asked around among the locals for recommendation. Ai Bintars was one of them, a little outside of the old town but...open all day. Without knowing the local drills, when we arrived at Ai Bintars we found out it does not serve any hot dishes, just the famous prosciutto, vedure sottoli (marinated artichokes, mixed mushrooms), and various local cheeses along with a basket of bread and grissini, (bread sticks). My husband had hoped to get some dishes served warm. After a little debate we decided to stay. Weren't we glad that we did! There is no menu and the service staff just told us what they had and we decided to try a little of everything. The 17 months aged prosciutto was so tender that we just cut it with the forks. It was not too salty, which is often the case and not highly spiced. So one can really taste the sweetness and the flavor of the pork. The marinated artichokes and sweet and sour baby onions (agrodolce) paired well with the prosciutto. I found the best way to eat prosciutto of San Daniele is to wrap it thinly around the breadstick and take a bite. The crunchy breadstick adds a nice texture to the tender prosciutto. With wine, two person serving of prosciutto, a mixture of marinated and pickled vegetables and three different kinds of local cheeses (Montasio, mozzarella, caprino fresco served with local olive oil), our bill came to 33 euros. The service was prompt and the staff, including the owner were welcoming and happy. We were happy campers even though we did not have any hot dishes.More
Il prosciutto di San Daniele has to be eaten in San Daniele del Friuli. In this restaurant I adore the ham, and the cheese "caprino", the name recalls the goat, but it's actually from cow's milk. I don't miss a chance to come dining here....Location is nice, service is quick and very kind, suggest to call to book a table.More
When you are travelling north of Italy you can not go past going to San Daniele to try their local Prosciutto. Without a doubt the best prosciutto makers in the world you have a vast variety of places to try the local cuisine. Ai Bintars...would have to be the best in the area, have been in the area several times and they provide the best representation of prosciutto and accompanying food I have had. If you want to taste great local food – this place wont disappoint and the service is sensational. Also dont be afraid to ask them for a tasting plate of their home made cakes to finish the meal.. we did and wow.More
