I would describe this restaurant as more fusion food than solely Japanese, there are definitely influences from other cuisines here such as Mexican guacamole and Hawaiian Poke. I think they do the best they can here but certain dishes such sushi and tartare rely on...the freshest highest quality seafood which you can’t get here, so in a way they are setting themselves up for failure. We had tuna tartare with corn and avocado which had lovely flavours of yuzu and chilli but these flavours dominated the dish. We also had tuna nigiri which was nice but nothing special. Prawn and crab gyoza were light and packed with flavour, then we had Dragon roll which was prawn tempura inside with avocado, teriyaki sauce and red tobiko (flying fish eggs) on top, surprisingly nice with the contrast of crispy tempura and soft rice. Not for sushi purists, but it makes a nice change from Greek food, it is however more expensive than most other restaurants here, and to us seemed a little style over substance. We would have stayed and had some more dishes but due to a couple of selfish smokers in our outside area we decided to leave. Unfortunately there’s not much the restaurant can do as surprisingly this is legal here, to smoke in a semi-enclosed outside area. We would come here again to eat, all the male staff here were really attentive and friendly.More

A wonderful evening spent with my husband celebrating a low key big birthday. Sepia is an absolute gem of a restaurant in a quiet street, set away just from the square in Argostoli. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Excellent, personalised service, outstanding...food and some of the best sushi I’ve ever tasted. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the island of Kefalonia. I for one, can’t wait to return.More

Firstly the food was absolutely delicious - some of the best salmon sashimi I have ever had! Next … the service was excellent - charming « maitre d’ » and lovely attentive waiters … Finally … on a busy evening (we should have booked!!) they fitted us...in … we were told our table was booked later but as long as we were able to have our meal in an hour and a half we were ok … We couldn’t have had better in any major city … you’ll have a great evening but remember to book!!! Oh … and the icing on the cake - probably the best « house » rose wine I’ve ever had … and only €5 a glass - enjoy😁More

We stayed in Kefalonia for one week and we decided to go to Sepia on the last day before departure. Food and atmosphere were perfect 10. What a nice way to sign off our vacation !!

Booked a table for our anniversary and it was a flop. We enjoy sushi without being conoseurs. No pictures on the menu, the waitor's explanations were scarce and rushed. Ended up being the most expensive dinner but our least favourite on 12 days in Kefalonia.

A sushi restaurant in Argostoli? My wife and I had to try this place. Make sure to make a reservation because we had to book our spot 4 days in advance. The place really does fill up and we watched the hostess turn people away...all night. We ordered Serris Robola for wine and it was a fantastic complement to the fish to come. For appetizers we ordered the Ceviche with Sea Urchin and Chicken Gyoza. Both dishes were great and presented beautifully. We ordered a bunch of Special Rolls including the Dragon Roll, Amazu Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Rokku Roll. I cannot say that any one of these necessarily stuck out above the rest, but they were all of high quality and expertly prepared. For dessert we got the Namelaka. Again, nothing to be amazed with but it did a good job of cleansing our palettes after the meal. The service staff were expedient and friendly, and, as with all places on this island, very slow with bringing the check. For me, this is not a positive thing, but it does seem to be the case with every single restaurant we’ve been to in Kefalonia. Maybe I just need to relax a bit more :-) I do have one recommendation for this restaurant. Please try better to showcase your local produce. An omakase offering of local Kefalonian seafood, etc would propel your establishment into another level. A great experience, and we look forward to dining here again soon.More

Best to book ahead! We enjoyed our meal here, the setting is without a view but the décor is modern and inviting. the menu was varied and the vegetarians and vegans had a fair choice, the restaurant was very accommodating to our requests. We really...enjoyed our tasty meal here, all of the dishes were well presented. The service was also excellent.More

Amazing sushi - the best I have had in a long time. The fish special was incredible and the tuna rolls are great. I can truly recommend for seafood lovers.

We’ve been there twice during our stay in Kefalonia and we booked the table through a simple phone call. I would advise to book because the restaurant is very popular and they were full on both occasions we visited them.
