A popular restaurant in Potes - we hadn't booked but went early to snap up a table - it filled up fairly quickly. The waiters were energetic and fluent in English - our waiter was keen to help us choose a Rioja to our taste...& he chose well! The starters we chose included a salad and a portion of croquettes - good, but not memorable. The main courses were all good to very good: the lamb chops were tender and tasty. My stew was extremely tender with a very rich wild mushroom sauce: a slightly smaller portion than expected was compensated for with some French fries. The prices were fairly average.More

This is an attractive restaurant with a great atmosphere, including beautiful old fashioned floor boards. The staff were all very respectful, welcoming and friendly and managed to fit us in at the last moment. The food is delicious and reasonable value. Good place to eat in Potes. Menú combined local dishes with some international meals like couscous. Opportunities as well for children so no problem for families and very balanced price-quality. Service and people there very professions and attentive. Highly recommended

Great restaurant! We were lucky and slipped in without a reservation (but the group behind were turned away). Super friendly. Delicious food (particularly liked the cocido croquettes but everything was good). Very good with my son’s allergies (even when the waiter swapped, she knew all...about it and who to keep an eye on). Vaguely out of the way but a nice stroll if you come from the river.More

Went to La Soldreria for lunch. It’s in a little side street away from the main square if restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. Lovely garden to sit in too. Recommended.

Excepcional, excellent and extraordinary. I come to the village next to Potes for holidays every year and it is already a tradition to eat out in Soldreria. They use local primary products, the dishes are elaborated and with a twist. The service is great and...there are no waiting times. I especially love their terrace, althoug inside is fantastic too. The owner comes to great every table, is very interesting, humble and a true profesional. Further, this year they have introduced a service of a recepcionist, which is not only very handsome, but aldo does a trully excellent job. If there is no table available at the very moment, he takes your mobile phone number and calls once there is a free one while you take aperitives elsewhere - great solution! You probably noticed that I am in love this place and sincerely recommend it 😍More

You have the choice to have lunch in a big terrace or in a intimate room. The food is excellent (try the "rabas" battered with chickpea flour -only available on Sundays) and there is a very good and wide wine selection. Toño stopped by our...table to mention that there were many additional wine alternatives outside the list. Good service. Potes is a really nice town, don´t leave without walking around.More
