Excepcional, excellent and extraordinary. I come to the village next to Potes for holidays every year and it is already a tradition to eat out in Soldreria. They use local primary products, the dishes are elaborated and with a twist. The service is great and there are no waiting times. I especially love their terrace, althoug inside is fantastic too. The owner comes to great every table, is very interesting, humble and a true profesional. Further, this year they have introduced a service of a recepcionist, which is not only very handsome, but aldo does a trully excellent job. If there is no table available at the very moment, he takes your mobile phone number and calls once there is a free one while you take aperitives elsewhere - great solution! You probably noticed that I am in love this place and sincerely recommend it 😍

You have the choice to have lunch in a big terrace or in a intimate room. The food is excellent (try the "rabas" battered with chickpea flour -only available on Sundays) and there is a very good and wide wine selection. Toño stopped by our table to mention that there were many additional wine alternatives outside the list. Good service. Potes is a really nice town, don´t leave without walking around.

The best meal of our holiday so far. Great service and high quality food. Yes it’s more expensive than some of the more touristy “menu del dia” type restaurants, but you get what you pay for. Busy on the day we ate so suggest you either book or get there at 8pm.

Popular restaurant with great food.

The food was delicious - we shared the mushrooms, then had lamb chops and the veal - the meat was of the highest quality. It was good to have the QR scan so you could look at the menu in English. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. We sat on the terrace which was very pretty. The restaurant opens at 8pm and if you want a table on the terrace you have to be there when it opens.

Lovely place. Has a really nice atmosphere. It was very busy when we walked in at 20:30. The staff where very nice and attentive even when the place was so busy. Approx 45 min wait for food. When the food eventually came out it was so good filled with so many flavours. Overall worth the money

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you..very impolite staff member

I never write negative reviews. But this time I feel like I should. Very rude staff. Not welcoming when entering their restaurant to begin with. But while we wanted to order food, one of their staff members told us in a very impolite manner that we should learn Spanish. While my wife and I unfortunately indeed do not speak Spanish, we try our best to order in the little Spanish we do know. Very disappointing, since we read so many positive reviews. Not a way to treat your costumers, your guests. After this behaviour we left. So I cannot say anything about the food. Can recommend the Mexican Restaurant in Potes though; great welcoming staff, and popular place for the locals as well.

Great place for families

Good place to eat in Potes. Menú combined local dishes with some international meals like couscous. Opportunities as well for children so no problem for families and very balanced price-quality. Service and people there very professions and attentive. Highly recommended

Excellent food - small quantities / high quality. Not all staff look happy to be working there, the majority appeared hardworking and passionate. Be careful of overcharging on your bill which lowered our overall satisfaction.

A restaurant is excellent when it makes you feel great. This is a place I would want to eat at over and over again. The owner Tono has passion and it shows. He’s running around with huge energy to make sure everyone is enjoying. The food was perfect and his passion for the vino was incredible. Must visit when in town.

Tucked away gem!

We planned a visit to this restaurant based on the reviews. It is tucked away in a lovely traditional street but well worth seeking out. We received a warm welcome and efficient professional service. The menu offered a few different dishes from elsewhere. Our dishes looked appetising and tasted great. We are planning another visit. Good experience.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Potes. It's very popular and doesn't take bookings. You need to queue at 8pm and offered a table, fills up very quickly. Good choice of tapas and meals, food is excellent.

Great restaurant worth finding

Great restaurant! We were lucky and slipped in without a reservation (but the group behind were turned away). Super friendly. Delicious food (particularly liked the cocido croquettes but everything was good). Very good with my son’s allergies (even when the waiter swapped, she knew all about it and who to keep an eye on). Vaguely out of the way but a nice stroll if you come from the river.

A beautiful historic restaurant with welcoming staff

This is an attractive restaurant with a great atmosphere, including beautiful old fashioned floor boards. The staff were all very respectful, welcoming and friendly and managed to fit us in at the last moment. The food is delicious and reasonable value. The only negative was the menu was online only.

Lovely staff, great food and services!

We showed up without reservation (something should be done during the pandemic), but they were happy to sit us at a lovely table. The staff was so friendly and lovely and the food was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks for treating us so well! We will be back! :)

A hidden gem

Went to La Soldreria for lunch. It’s in a little side street away from the main square if restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. Lovely garden to sit in too. Recommended.
