What a find! The service here was excellent. We hadn’t booked but the kind staff managed to find us a space and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very warm. The owner was very kind to our children and every day we passed by the restaurant after we had eaten there, he would give a cheery wave. A must stop if you are in Potes.

Perfect atmoshpere, perfect host, perfect food ! We were amazed by the host, who served 1 l Margarita :) tacos al pastor, nachos and desserts were outstanding. We came back one more time just to expierience this again. Must see and eat place in Potes !

Lovely ambiance, good and quick service. 2 vegan options on the menu. I had the Enchilades Verdes - 2 soft wheat tortillas filled with black bean purée and covered in a spicy tomatillo salsa. I would come back just for that salsa! Other option is vegan fajitas made with a meat alternative (I think from soy) My table companions shared quesadillas with cochinitas pibil (spicy piglet) - it was a plate full!

The restaurant was fully booked the day I arrived but a kind gentleman let me take the table by the door. The food situation is challenging for a vegetarian in Northern Spain so I was happy to have a choice at this restaurant. I had the enchiladas (spicy and delicious!) and two margaritas! Really enjoyed my meal and the waiter was friendly and patient with my limited Spanish.

My friends and I were in Potes for a hiking trip and needed a good meal after a long day of hiking. Las Mañanitas was an amazing restaurant with fast and friendly service. Very fun atmosphere and some of the best Mexican food i’ve had.

Very popular restaurant. Hard to get into as fully booked well in advance. We booked Saturday and the first day we could get was Tuesday. Service very personal and knowledgeable, food great and lovely wine both white and red. Very reasonably priced and would defiantly go back if back in Potes.

Oh my goodness! The decor is beautifully characterising the wonderful country of Mexico. And then you eat the food within these gorgeous walls and it is superb food…. The most authentic Mexican we have ever eaten. First class service from all the staff, I’m guessing a family, and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything. Gonna return in a few days to sample more of the menu.

Lovley Mexican restaurant. Great staff great food and super value for money.
Definitely worth checking out for lunch or dinner. We were on a motorcycle trip and spent a few days in Potes. Ate in this fantastic restaurant 3 times.

Nachos were covered with a liquid cheese sauce. Enchiladas were awful. Fajitas were passable just. Give this place a miss Potes has far better restaurants.

This is the third time visiting this restaurant while on holiday.
The initial greeting and seating is good, with cheerful and polite staff.
Ordering was a not a chore, and the staff helped with describing what the food options where, as well as how to pronounce the names.
Food was delivered within a reasonable time, and hot.
We have had tried several options and all have been cooked well and very tasty.
The ambiance is nice, with traditional Mexican music been played as background music.
Top marks to the staff for been so nice.

Restaurant gives you all Mexican vibes by the decoration and background music.

When you have had enough of the generous amounts of fat - and really need some flavour and mouthfeel, you will enjoy this place. They serve large icecold beers too. Clearly our favourite place in town - and the variety of the menu enables you to revisit several lunches and dinners in a week. Each time with a truly worldclass guacamole on the side.
They dont speak English - but they will understand you nonetheless - now that is remarkable service. They make you feel really welcome.
If you are into tequila they have a good selection - the Jimador is a quite delicate dessert.
