My home cooking is excellent but lacks the finesse to justify anything other than a discounted bottle-shop special. So I have to admit, like most reviewers on this site, the combination of Cannibal Creek wines and French cuisine is to die for. My family and...More

First Class Food is on offer at this fine dining restaurant known as Cannibal Creek, would be fantastic if there wines were better - perhaps a few years in the bottle may be the answer.

Great little vineyard/Restaurant. The food here is great and the wines are delicious. We have eaten here a few times now and each time we have been really pleased. Highly recommend a visit here

Our group of 16 had a very enjoyable lunch yesterday. Food was delicious and plentiful, wines lovely, service good and our celiac sufferer was well catered for. All members said they would return. Thanks everyone and enjoy your winter break.

Mother's Day would not be typical so perhaps the hosts bit off a little more than they could chew. Service was slow and a little disorganised. One meal was incorrectly served and then taken away. After quite a while the meals appeared, but not before...More

We went to the Cannibal Creek Vineyard for a wine tasting last Sunday morning, as we headed down memory lane back into Gippsland for a pleasant day out. The warmth of the staff somehow drew us back for a wonderful and relaxing lunch. When we...More

11 people had lunch here on Sunday. As there was over 10 people we had to have a set menu which comprised shared platters. The food and service was really good but there was approximately an hour wait between our first and second course. I...More

The restaurant has unbelievable service and the meals are really tasty and they make great coffee as well. Wine is a little bit expensive but the experience well worth it.

We came for lunch today and it was absolutely delightful. I tried a few wines but unfortunately I'm extremely fussy and none of them were to my taste. The food however was awesome. We ordered the fish cakes for entree and they were divine. My...More

Description
17/7/17 until 17/8/17 Cannibal Creek Cellar Door Restaurant will be closed. We are open for wine and cheese sales during this time French Inspired Wine and Food Made By Hand From The Ground Up. Cannibal Creek is a small, family owned and operated Winery and Cellar Door-Restaurant in West Gippsland, about an hour out of Melbourne. The Cannibal Creek approach to both wine and food reflects small batch, by hand methods, with a "French" inspiration being as much about a closeness to the land, as it is the lighter drinking style of the wine and the inspiration behind the food on the plate The Cannibal Creek Wine is Single Estate produced with the vines planted by Pat & Kirsten Hardiker 20 years ago who continue to live and work onsite today, from tending the vines or our kitchen garden, or sourcing produce from nearby farms for the restaurant menu. Head Chef Philippe Desrettes personally prepares almost everything onsite from scratch with an honest menu of great produce and flavours. Philippe's partner Karine Saille oversees Front of House with a team of local staff ensuring a relaxed and genuine experience for locals and visitors in a warm friendly country setting.
