A hidden gem of the Ibar valley road, Kod Mira restaurant offers an authentic old Serbian kafana's atmosphere. Local cuisine combined with nice atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, will give you a hint of what old kafana's and restaurant used to look like. Today, it is considered to be one of the best restaurants in this part of Serbia, with a tradition that lasts nearly for two centuries now! Kod Mira is strongly recommended!

Marvelous!
Characteristic Serbian tavern in the middle of the mountains.
Typical restaurant, with an outdoor area among trees and climbing canopies.
Excellent food, the goodness of the Serbian cuisine is surprising.
Of course, grilled meat here in Serbia and its surroundings is 80% of the menu but, here it is very good.
Desert: Delicious "Lena's dessert": apple pancakes with chopped walnuts and homemade plum jam.
Grappa "Kraljevcanka rakija" barricaded delicious and offered by the house, as they knew that we are Italian.
Until now I hadn't appreciated rajia very much 😅.
Kind and friendly owner and like everywhere, very honest prices.
Highly recommended!!!

Very nice place with delicious food and excellent service. Chicken, fish, soup - everything was beyond praise. Separately, I would like to note the serving of the soup - it was in a pot, which the child was completely delighted with. We took dessert with us and were pleased with it too.
The only negative is the flies that attack you while eating.

It's perfect place if you like traditional serbian cuisine. Food is great, I'd recommend grill/barbique meals, though they have nice assortment of other dishes. Staff is kind and service is reasonably fast. Prices are good compared to the quality of the food that you will get. Honest recommendation!

I was just present to see it for myself, where owner took a mug and almost attacked one of the guests. Not safe for families at all.
Waiters...there are not 1star,they are - 5 stars. Just terrible.
Food is good though, if you don't get beaten during the meal...

Hvala Vam na recenziji. Da ste hteli biti objektivni trebali bi opisati i prethodnu reakciju gosta ali ne može se svima ugoditi. Svakako imate mogućnost izbora ako Vam naše usluge ne odgovaraju. Do sada niko nije prebijen u kafani kako ste Vi to prethodno nagovestili . Pošto niste videli obaveštenje na tabli ovim putem Vas obaveštavam da kućni ljubimci nisu dozvoljeni u objektu a ni u bašti. Ni mali ni veliki- svejedno je.

Strongly recommend. Nice traditional ambient. Very good place for drink or lunch break. The oldest Kafana in Serbia (since 1826).

We have tried to have a lunch at the terrace and we were with 2 kids and a dog.
The waiter came out running yelling at us that the owner sent a message that we werebnot welcome with a dog.
While of course there was a sign telling pets are not allowed which is fine but he couldn't explain how come the terrace was full of domestic cats.
We got a message that we should speak with the owner.
But I guess this is just typical Serbian behaviour.
They should be ashamed.

They are not PET freindly at all. Even dough we came with small, well dressed and socialized dog and ask to sit it the corrner on the terrace. There were guests, but not a lot. No one would mind and we would sit in the corner, almost out od restorant - they did not want to let us.
I used to stop here very offten, and now I changed my route to come again, but I cannot understand how they can be so HARD and zero flexible - not comming into restaurant - but on terrace; no rush hour - a lot of space; not looking for central place - but corrner, almost on the street.
The food is one thing, but the way they act is more important. I said we came a long way just because of this place and they do jot care at all.
Good luck with that attitude, one customer less from now!

We've waited for at least half an hour to be served. The waiter brought as a wrong salad, forgot the soups and gave us 3 pieces of "pihtije" for 4 of us saying that that is all he was able to beg for in the kitchen for us...

We heard about this place from a friend of ours and I'm glad we found time to have lunch there. The place was very busy so advanced reservation is highly recommended. The staff were pleasant and very busy but the food still arrived on time and it was delicious. If you are ever in that part of Serbia, make sure you make a visit.

The service was excellent, our waitress was warm and welcoming. We found this restaurant online on our way to the Žiča monastery and had to give it a try. It was the best meal we had since we’ve been travelling around Serbia for the past week and a half (from Canada). They bring your soup in a campfire style of serving so it stays warm - how homely! There’s enough for 2 bowls in one order! We ordered the šomska salata, roasted pepper with garlic (so good) and calamari and were so full at the end. It was all so delicious and fresh we couldn’t stop even though we were full. You can taste the freshness of the tomatoes, cucumbers and calamari. It’s a wonderful restaurant in the village/town of Bogutovac. Their menu has evolved quite a bit from the one online, they now serve breakfast as well. If we were staying in the area I think I would come eat here every day :D. They also had a tv outside broadcasting the basketball championship. The history of the restaurant is also showcased on the inside, all the pictures and articles on the wall are quite captivating! Since 1826, wow! Bravo, what a beautiful restaurant!

The tavern is at that place for a hundred years, with special care of old dishes. A nice selection of home made fruit brandy. You'll experience a real blast. The meals are mostly meat. If you are nearby, be sure to come to the gourmet roulette.

I was in doubt should I drive 30 min to eat here but at the end I decide to go. That was very good decision. First, enterior is very warm and friendly, outside oldtimer car, santa, and other decorations, staff is really professional. What to say when I order espresso anf got it in maximum 30 sec!!! This was never happen in my life, not even close so quick. All was served very quick. Fish soup one of the best I tryed in my life. Cevapcici perfect! Only salad I didnt like too much because it was not perfect like like all others but it was ok (if somebody from restaurant reading this, please serve salad cold, it will be much better taste). Even if you are far away, you should decide to came, it is worth of it! Definitelly I will came again.

If you left Belgrade, going south, then this place is a must! Family owned, with long tradition ( I am 50, and place was old before I started school), stil the same owner, same food quality and service. Visited by literaly anyone, peasants, farmers, ambasadors, presidents, working class people. No words can describe it. Miro writes short wise sentences. My favourite is "Even tomorrow will soon become yesterday". Go, eat, enjoy. By far the best in 50Km radius.
