The delicious food, the kindness and thoughtfulness of the waiters and owner, the accessible prices and the beautiful setting make Sa Cova a restaurant you will want to return to time and time again. It is beautifully decorated in deep blue with the cathedral towering...in the background against the moonlight. The waiters look at every detail to ensure you have a fabulous and comfortable experience and the food is to die for...12/10 experience!More

Nestled in the romantic back streets of Ibiza Old Town, Sa Cova is a wonderful restaurant with ambiance and charm and real attention to detail. Everything we had was spot on. Our hosts, stylishly clad in blue and white horizontal stripes, inspired by the marinières...worn by the French Navy explained the fresh market sourced black board of plates, in which everything sounded delicious and helped us select a very tasty wine. To start, my partner and I shared a sea bass ceviche, delicate and well balanced, and burrata with ratatouille, light and refreshing. To follow I had the scallops, seared on the outside and tender inside, and my partner the solomillo steak, exactly medium rare. They were accompanied, respectively, by a sweet potato purée that really complemented and dauphinoise potatoes that were incredibly more-ish. Throughout, service was warm and attentive with a great wine recommended for our meal as well as aperitif recommendations to accompany our desserts. Drinks were continually topped up and it was the kind of meal you hope to have on holiday - where you can relax, eating exquisite food in the care of people whose passion and tremendous skill make you feel you have all you need to be happy. For dessert, unable to choose, we shared the crème brûlée and chocolate mousse - both perfect. We’re already planning to go back in the hopes the apple crumble is still on the menu.More

I just got back from Ibiza and am already missing Sa Cova, I go there at each of my visits to Ibiza and more than once per visit. The key to amazing restaurants is CONSISTENCY, and these guys know what they are talking about, they...have all worked between NY France and Ibiza and have brought to Sa Cova all their talent The art of serving is not given to all but you can see this team have it in their blood! Wine recommendation to a detailed explanation of the menu, I often sit their alone watching them work, and its such a pleasure. At my last visit I had some incredible Verdejo white wine, the waiter knew exactly what to suggest, the burrata (that was soooo tasty)and the Lubina tartare that was for me such a surprise of flavor! The fish, pomegranate, apple and seaweed, was so outstanding, to be honest i never tested anything like it. I had some hierbas to finish my meal and as always a beautiful experience from beginning to end. Cyril, Nico, Thibaut and the chef , can't wait for next time! PS . They have the cutest uniforms Oh so French and so Chic <3More

Like most, I had researched and seen the reviews before travelling, it was my girlfriends birthday and wanted her to have a perfect evening and perfection is what we received. From arrival to departure we had the most attentive service, the host was not only...passionate about the menu he took the time to talk through each dish, making it hard to make a decision. I’m so glad we made the choices we did, my girlfriend chose the clams to start and I chose the Ceviche, both were incredible and I would highly recommend either. For the main course we had Rissotto and the Lamb, again both dishes were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a reasonable priced bottle of red and afterwards a Japanese whiskey and a craft beer. All this in one of the most beautiful locations. I think this may have been one of the most beautiful restaurants I have visited. (I think it scored me valuable birthday points too!) Once again to all the staff thank you for a beautiful evening!More

Came upon this at the top of some stony steps last night. The terrace had a lovely vista of the castle and as soon as we arrived we felt very welcome. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English. Because of that they were able...to cater specifically with my allergy and eating requirements. The food was great, and the chef could not have been more helpful. All in all a fantastic restaurant, a relaxing gem of a place.More

We went for dinner on our last evening in Ibiza. We had fabulous wine and food and Nicolas and Cyral were fabulous hosts, even down to the limoncello they sourced at the last minute. Would definitely recommend.

We booked this restaurant due to the trip advisor reviews and were hugely disappointed. Bland unseasoned steak, bland unseasoned dauphinois and a pile of lettuce on a plate is not my idea of a great dining experience. Don’t bother climbing the stairs unless you want...to see the castle.More

My friend and I came here a few days ago b/c it had such high ratings on TripAdvisor. However, we had a very different experience than the majority of raters here. We made reservations at 9:30pm. We arrived a little late, but were told that...they were running about 15 mins behind. We agreed to grab a few drinks at the restaurant next door. After 20-30 minutes, we were still not seated. We finally get seated and are presented with the menu which is on a blackboard. It is typical mix of French and Spanish cuisines. I had the ceviche appetizer and the beef filet. My friend had the ceviche entree and something else that I cannot remember. My friend’s dishes were good (according to him), mine were just okay. The ceviche appetizer was a bit too acidic for me (I had better ceviche on Majorca) and the beef filet was not cooked as requested. I wanted it medium rare to rare and got it well done. It therefore made the experience less enjoyable. The worst part though was the service. Although the waiters were relatively nice, the service was soooooo slow. It took a good 20-30 minutes to get our appetizers, then another good 30-40 minutes for us to get our main dishes, and then another 15 minutes just to get our check. I don’t think the subpar food warranted the poor service.More
