We stopped here for lunch. Great food indeed! I ordered spaghetti all’amatriciana e polpettone ( local meat loaf) both were amazing! And to finish a delicious profiteroles and of course 1 liter of local white wine. Stunning!
I usually check on TripAdvisor before choosing a restaurant but not today. We saw a lot of people going inside and decided to trust them😂. Wise choice! We had an antipasto with local affettato and cheese, pici all'aglione (a traditional dish of Val di Chiana),...tagliatelle al sugo d'anatra (homemade pasta with duck sauce), ravioli with salsiccia and truffle. Everything was SOOO tasty! Above all carciofo fritto (fried artichokes)!
It's very tasty and also cheap!
Sorry, no pics I was too hungry.. 🙄More
This is a place for locals. It is a simple but warm environment, with things made the traditional way. The owner is kind, the food is very good and abundant. Do not expect fine things, expect good stuff made home-style, with basic service but correct...and kind. The value for money is excelent. I recommend "pisci al'aglione", I love it !!More
We visit Serenella for the full Italian experience. The pizza are delicious and freshly made. They have a whole page on the menu without tomato as a base, recommended. Did not try the pasta on this visit but it looked and smelled amazing. Good value...for money. Always made to feel welcome and full of locals with a real family friendly atmosphere.More
Been here with my family and enjoyed lunch. The service is very friendly. Even though they don't speak any English and we don't speak Italian, we still managed to order a great dish. Personally i really loved the 'pollo tartufo'.
So really worthwhile to visit...for lunch or diner.More
