Managed a table for two late in the day , a lot booked up . Arrived and was seated quickly , service was good and Sunday roast very nice indeed . As good as I’ve had , I had the lamb which was plentiful and...sides tasty . It was nice not yo be hassled , but fancied a pud and couldn’t get noticed . Would return , would recommend , lovely day made good with food 👍More
We've been here a couple of times recently. Food has been good on each occasion.
The first time we thought the older staff were a bit off with some of the younger staff but didn't think much about it. The second time we were sat...nearer to where they congregate at the bar. The older and more experienced staff were mean to the younger staff, we heard their comments and it was very uncomfortable for us and them. The days when you can treat people like that are long gone. Shame about their personal skills as the food was very good.More
We booked a table for two on a Saturday night. Expected a bit of a wait but not as long as we did. When order for drinks taken waited a long time and other tables served before us! Turns out forgot about our drinks! They...didn’t charge us but that’s not the point. Table in front of us very noisy and using foul language but staff never said anything to them. Food was awful my husband ordered pie and looked like it had been frozen!! Afraid won’t be going again.More

We were travelling from Hampshire to collect a van from Bawtry and I phoned the Ship to book an evening meal and ask whether we could park our motorhome overnight. We arrived at 5pm and were given a warm welcome. We enjoyed drinks outside with...the friendly locals then had an enormous meal at 7pm - not used to these giant portions down South! The service and food were excellent and the pub was very busy for a Monday night.More
Called at lunchtime today after reading the reviews. Our first visit to Bawtry and the Ship .We both had fish and chips and were not disappointed. ( homemade tartare sauce best ever.)Menu was extensive and well thought out. Food was quality, hot, well priced and...served by 2 friendly, helpful ladies. Thanks, and will see you again when in the area.More
We decided to make a return to eating in at the ship today after all the covid rules.
Hand sanitizer at the door and face mask on, a warm friendly welcome by Sue seemed like we had never been away.
Logged on to track and...track while drinks were being poured. Food ordered and went to sit at the table.
Nice, clean and decorated during lockdown.
Light bite lunch sandwich with all the trimmings and chips also beef medallions from specials board were wonderful.
Plenty on the plate ( nothing has change had to ask if I could have half the sandwich as takeaway.
So nice to be back, thanks to Sue and the chief
See you again very soon.More
