Nice restaurant in the old town, very good homemade food, decent prices. Definitely good for a return visit.

Get the antipasto del Paradiso, absolutely amazing starter, and the pork stew in red wine was delicious. Plus a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff.

My wife and I had an excellent lunch: delicious tortelli (big ravioli) and potato gnocchi ai funghi porcini followed by a flavorful tagliata di cinta sienese (special tuscan pork steak), trippa, side dish of spinach and, for dessert, a very, very tasty slice of ricotta-frutta...di bosco cake, and the usual bottle of bubbly water and espresso at the end of the meal. 50 euros total, reasonable.More

We had lunch here on a Wednesday. It’s a cute, quiet, and friendly little restaurant away from the main tourist zone. Tourists are still wandering around the lanes here but far fewer than near the main piazza. There’s limited sitting out front with more seating...inside where we sat to avoid potential smokers. We were greeted warmly and bread was brought to our table without asking. But we found our own olive oil and dipping plate as the restaurant got more busy and our server more occupied. For our antipasti, we ordered a bruschetta. It was a little bit disappointing. The tomatoes were chilled which is a real no-no, especially in Italy, since it robs them of their true flavor. It did come drizzled in very good olive oil and a light sprinkling of salt, but there was only a tiny amount of rubbed garlic on the toasted bread. The portion was large and it tasted OK. The homemade pici with pomodoro sauce and the homemade pici with spinach and cheese were both excellent. Potions were just the right size – not too small or too large. The red house wine was also tasty. Prices are very reasonable given that the pici was homemade. We enjoyed our lunch here and can definitely recommend this restaurant to other travelers visiting Pitigliano.More

We visit the restaurant basically every night as our place was just opposite. Idio, the owner as always been very kind and all the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious and all prepared at the moment so it may take a bit of...time but the taste is worth the waiting. We recommend the veal scaloppine al limone, the tagliatelle funghi porcini, tagliata steak. the desserts are so tasty and all home made. Don't forget to try the spumino with mix berries, the ricotta cake and the pannacotta, all accompanied with a nice espresso with a Barricata grappa. We highly recommend to book earlier in person when passing by. We use to book every night for the day after and never get disappointed. We will be back! Thank Idio, Mattel Angelina and all the staff that as always been kind and helpful.More

We arrived at this restaurant about 7 pm - asked about a table and told we would have to wait about 15 mins. We said ok and asked if we could order a drink sit outside (they were not serving food out here ) but...they were very reluctant. There seemed to be a bit of a disagreement about it - anyway eventually they did and then another couple sat there too. The food itself was delicious. I ordered pici aglione ( I am vegetarian) which the waitress warned was very hot. I decided to risk it and glad I did. It was hot but very tasty . I can’t remember what exactly my husband had , again they said it was hot but I know he really enjoyed it. We also had some roast potatoes. We had a bottle of local wine and the total bill was very reasonable . 8 euros for my pici .More

We enjoyed an absolutely lovely dinner at La Chiave del Paradiso. The service was punctual and the staff was very friendly and you could see they enjoyed being there. We started with the Antipasti plate, their olives are delicious. We then moved on to their...delightful pasta dishes--the four cheese gnocchi was so creamy and wonderful. The Secondo piatti dishes are just as lovely. Grilled chicken, sausage, and pork were all wonderful. They did everything right, especially dessert. Actually what I enjoyed most was the vibe--it was such a pleasure to just hang out there. We drank wine, enjoyed a four course meal with coffee and left spending 80 euro.More

If you are visiting Pitigliano I fully recommend to have a meal at this typical italian restaurant. We were 2 adults and one child, we took a typical tuscan starter with several cheese and meat, pici with artichokes and speck (extremely delicious), polenta with wildpork...ragú, gnocchi with tomato, water, wein and coffee. Bill was 42 Euro!!More

We spent two weeks in Pitigliano and kept returning here - it was the best food we had during the holiday. Excellent.

The proprietors make no apology for serving "slow food", and quite rightly, as when it comes it's delicious. While waiting you can enjoy the ambience of Pitigliano's streets.

We managed to sneak in at last minute before midday closure. Initially the owner and waiters were a bit surprised, but since there were 3 more tables waiting for their food, they accept us. Nothing special, simply pastas with different adding's, but they were prepared...great. Our main catalyst were kids, they were satisfied, so do we. They have great interior, it looks like narrow place, but there is plenty of room for maneuver. Kids loved the niche next to the main hall (it was sunny day), so they even organized themselves a playground while we were finishing our meal.More

It was a gorgeous afternoon and the outside seats were very desirable, until the smokers lit up. We were graciously accommodated inside in the small room to the far right, which turned out to be our private dining room. Delicious meal and very very good...service.More

This little restaurant is located at the very end of the butcher street. Look for it on the right just after the corner. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meals and the grilled vegetables were great.

This place is cosy and has several memories from the owners career as cyclist. The food was disappointing, the pasta was too "al dente" and the meat too fat. There are much better places in Pitigliano.
