Excellent service but average food

This restaurant is probably one of the restaurants on Koh Samed with the highest service level. Any western tourist will feel at ease here. The menu is printed on nice and clear menu cards, the staff are dressed in uniforms and provide excellent and attentive service. Our problem with the place was that it had lost much of a genuine Thai feeling. It felt like a Thai restaurant in Europe or the US, with everything adapted to a Scandinavian family with 2-3 kids. Unfortunately, this also applied to the food. Our first visit, when ordering one of the curries, we were asked if wanted it spicy or mild. Knowing that curry in Thailand can be very hot, we opted for the mild version. This was a mistake - and of course ours. The following visit, we therefore chose the green curry, marked with two chilis, and asked for the spicy version. It was definitely more spicy than the previous night, but nowhere near spicy as in Thai spicy. If you are traveling with kids and want a safe place that feels like home, but in a beautiful Thai environment on a beach - then this is definitely for you. Are you, however, more interested in the genuine Thai kitchen, then find a different restaurant.

Excellent Restaurant For Couples Or Families

We visited Samed for 3 nights and found this restaurant on the second night. We were so impressed we had to come back on our 3rd. and final night here. The food was excellent with an extensive menu, and I felt the prices were on par with the quality of food we received. (from what I saw it was cheaper than a lot of other places on the island). Just to name a few, the soft shell crab, mussels, fish, bruschetta, curry, and squid were all excellent. Staff was second to none being very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long at all for food delivery or to get the attention of the servers. I would highly recommend this restaurant for families or a romantic atmosphere for couples as well, as there are different seating areas for what mood you're in.

Very enjoyable stay

Stayed in a semi-bungalow with just a couple of steps to the beach. Great accommodation. Not particularly cheap to stay but would stay again. We’ve been to Ko Samet several times before & found this restaurant the best

Maybe we were on our unlucky day, but the dinner here has been really bad. We came here after reading the reviews, and the place is nice with a nice service too: but the food, not good at all: terrible massaman, old chicken and fried sea salad not fresh, pizza just acceptable, all at not cheap prices too. We ran away (after paying the bill) and went to eat in another restaurant close by, to cancel the bad taste still in our 5 tongues.

Great restaurant! dining close to beach , great food and very friendly waiters. We had grilled sea bass, which was very tasty. They also do nice happy hour at sea bar

Do not ever book a table because it is useless!

We stayed at the hotel and asked if it is possible to reserve a specific table by 7.30 pm. It was full by the time we arrived.

a very romantic restaurant

excellent place to have a romantic evening meal , they lay the tables on the beach with all the lights around ,service was very good and prices competitive and most nights you have a show on the beach fire eating and fire display , please remember that restaurant begins closing down at 9.30pm .

Lovely restaurant

My boyfriend went here once. We had lovely grilled fish and seafood red Curry, springrolls and fried chickenwings! It was very tasty! Also er were seated at a tablet closest to the sea in a corner, so er had a little privacy, otherwise the restaurant is very crowded! In the midst of it all, a fire artist performed in the beach

Lovely atmosphere right on the beach

Food was great, pricier than others but service was great most of the time. If you don’t mind being surrounded by the rudeness of Russians and Chinese maybe think twice or just stick your earphones on.
