A beautiful place in an old monastery, the fish dishes are excellent, the waiters very friendly. You can sit outside right in front of a small and lovely bay.

Had an excellent meal sitting at the harbour edge. Busy but service still very good and excellent value. On a further occasion I ordered carryout as staying nearby. Slow to get the food but was given the time so was able to call back when...ready. Surprising varied menu, not just pizza. I had swordfish for example.More
I booked a table here for dinner but there was no need as it was very quiet. Enjoyed the location in the small Harbour and food and wine were good.
Went here as recommended by our accommodation host. Nice service, nice location. They did get my wine wrong, but that was not a great concern to me. Food very basic, and probably priced a great deal higher than the quality as other reviewers have stated....However, 3rd meal since arriving in Polignano a Mare and they have been all underwhelming and sub standard service. Hope to find better soon.More
Good location, Terrible service, long waiting, unpatient staff, food is not really good, but regarding pasta pomodoro.. well it is the worst we have ever eaten. We have to avoid this kind of places and maybe they study that they are for guests, and guests...are for them.More
The personal is strange. We were waiting a lot to get the drinks. We didnt eat because we were out of their cooking time. We came at 17 but Pizza you can order from 20.
The staff seemed to be preoccupied with everything but serving us. We had to get up to order drinks ourselves, 30 minutes after sitting down I got up to ask if we could order, the guy in charge yelled at his staff in front of...me and the other 2 tables. Finally after 75 minutes after sitting down we finally got our food...and it was very good. Doesn’t compensate though for the front of office. There are other options take them.More
We were staying at Vilu Suite just along the road and walked down one evening for dinner. The food was wonderfully Italian and the atmosphere casual. Gorgeous setting in the small harbour with all the brightly coloured fishing boats rocking gently in front of us....It was magical. Although sitting outside in summer is a must, take a look inside! You will be in for a treat including seeing the old olive pressing wheels! I can’t explain it in words - you will just have to see it for yourself!! This restaurant supports young people who may have some disadvantages in finding mainstream work and clearly the culture was that of encouragement and empowerment. We were so well looked after and these people work extremely hard to ensure a great customer experience.More
We were staying at Vilu Suite (see review) for a few nights and Locanda dei Benedettini was recommended. It did not disappoint. The pizza was great and well priced. Great atmosphere as there was a number of locals eating their dinner there (always a good...sign). If you are around, stop in for a pizza if nothing else. Enjoy!More
Had lunch here took half hour to get served even though they had brought the bread ad cutlery no drink offered. We eventually ordered two tagllione with prawns and a bottle of water and a glass of wine. When the food came it was excellent...really tasty but it took so long to come that we had eaten all the bread. The plates were taken when we had finished and it took another 45 mins for them to give us the bill after asking in Italian four times fir the bill. We noticed that the Italian family of six got served before us even though we had been in the restaurant for 20 mind they also paid before us after getting there bill immodestly. We also noticed a family of four English were also having trouble getting there bill and the man was becoming quite cross. So food good service none existent and not cheap either for lunchMore
