Reception from nearby Hotel Nuno considered us this fantastic restaurant. We were perfectly served and had a Santola as starter which was delicious and later a grilled fish. We felt like heaven and the suggested wine matched perfectly with our food. We enjoyed our dinner very much and looking forward to come back again. The final price was more than reasonable.

26 people not booked, everything ready at the top! The Tour Operator had the Wrong Reservation Date and we arrived in 26 without Reservation. Everything went smoothly as if there were two of us and the food, service and environment were fantastic. In two waiters they did service for 50 people and the kitchen did not keep waiting. Highly recommended

The space is spacious and is located on the 2nd floor of the municipal market. The service seems a little clumsy but what matters is the food, which was good (I ordered fried cuttlefish with roe wake). The price is fair for the food served.

5 stars for the lady who "accompanied" our meal. Half a star for the gentleman who gave us the table. 2 stars for the kitchen. Uncomprehensible in a restaurant with pretensions not to have a kitchen at the height. Moreover, it would be so easy to follow the Alentejo cuisine to get meals with recognized gastronomic level. Prices are inadequate for the poor quality of what is served.

Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Reduced portions, 6 tiny pieces of meat mixed with black pork, with little accompaniment (we had to ask for more fries), migas with no flavor like the typical Alentejo migas, açorda with roe also lacking in flavor, hard fried cuttlefish and with the "poame" releasing completely, but well seasoned. I draw your attention to the "Perdiz Empada", which is nothing like a pie, but is instead a puff pastry the same size as the puff pastries sold at gas stations (perhaps smaller), it is sold as a meal and is not enough for an adult let him eat little.

Excellent experience. One Large restaurant, with quick service and friendly staff. Divine food. We ate some fried cuttlefish with roe stew and a partridge pie. Both dishes sublime. Price/quality adjusted.

Restaurant with good look. Good entry/visual But very weak service and flaws in the kitchen. It took them a simple ementa They didn't put in tickets. Uns metiam. Others don't. About the food. Overcoocked and riff. Maybe the specialty would be seafood and fish. Something we haven't been told. No thanks

Lousy service and very weak food, I do not recommend this place. Also very high prices for Santiago do Cacém, where you can find much better places

Excelente environment, food and service. Popular octopus dish is very good. Special “vinho da casa” is superb. Reasonable and adequate price.

Atmosphere was lovely and our server was helpful to explain the menu in English. We had Partridge Pie and Mixed Black Pig - amazing meal! For the English-speaking “Migas” is stuffing and it’s incredible. Service was so kind. I would eat here anytime 😘 love them xoxo

Let’s begin with the fact that the food was good, both octopus and clams we ordered were nice, but everything else was a disappointment. The beer I ordered was room temperature, bread was soggy and the service was simply terrible, the few waiters working were overwhelmed by a full dining room and it took forever to order, get served and pay the bill. Giving how many good restaurants who cook regional Alentejo food are around we won’t be coming back here.

We went to this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Located in Santiago do Cacem’s market, with plenty of parking space, this restaurant offers traditional portuguese food like “Choco frito”, “migas” or “pica-pau” with a slight modern touch. The meals are generous, and the food is well seasoned, with plenty of flavors to discover. It also offers grilled fish or meat, depending on the availability, letting you choose a more simpler dish but still good. Since the restaurant was full when we went there, the time between order and serving was above average (around 40 minutes). Take this into consideration when visiting. All in all a great restaurant from Alentejo which I recommend.

the food is average, you can find in a simple restaurant the room is nice with a modern decor The service is bad. We arrived friday night and the table chief said; sorry no tables. When I query abou waiting he answer that will be a long wait, 1 hour at least, hoping we moved away. We insist and we waited. After 5 min other couple arrived and the room chief said no possible a table for tonight. 2 minutes later a clients left the table and this mean that when we arrived they already had paid. We seat and 3 or 4 tables were free as well. 15 minutes after our arrival. Next day we return because majority of restaurants were closed (Saturday) and the same chief said immediately; no away no tables....but there was tables free and we pointed that was table free and we insist but he said again , no way. Conclusion; they hate clients because this means more work for them.

We ordered the grilled fish and a bottle of wine. You get to pick the fish you want from a tray one ice, then the fish is weighed and off it goes to the kitchen. Menu in English, French, and Portuguese of course.
