First class food for a good price, and we liked the interior very much. The food was really good and we promised that welwillend visited them again. The owner was even able to help us in Dutch languages and informed us perfect. Nice friendly and great place to be. And at the end a handmade dessert. Wauw very nice.

It has the best waiter in the Alentejo Litoral or even in the entire Alentejo, or even in Portugal!
If you go there, don't forget to ask to be served by St. Ivo! Kind and discreet, they guarantee 5-star treatment, with the right to taste wine with glamour!
I recommend!
Worth all the tips in the world!

Delicious fresh homemade food. The family couldn’t do enough for us … even finding the Scotland vs France rugby match on the restaurant tv. A perfect afternoon.

Once again terrible!!
There were 4 of us and due to the lack of alternatives there we had to give one more chance.
The restaurant was half full and we still waited 45 minutes for the dish of the day and roast chicken and a francesinha. The dishes were served in the "poorest" way imaginable: francesinha without fries (as stated on the menu) and brains without orange. The MB has been "out of service" for years.

Good food and service. Doesn't look much from outside but comfy and welcoming inside. For people looking for this restaurant if you stand with your back to the coach station it's opposite on the left of the mini roundabout. Food was good, cooked fresh, hot and enjoyable. Local wine of good quality. Can't wait to visit again. Closed on Sunday.

A Praceta is a lovely, traditionally Portuguese restaurant situated in the centre of Santiago do Cacem. My husband and I ate here on the first and last day of our holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed both our meals. In fact we don't normally make a habit of returning to a restaurant as there as so many places to try but we returned here!
The menu is really varied and it was of the only places in the town, which served us a variety of vegetables other than potatoes. I ordered the chicken curry, which was delicious and my husband ordered the extremely tasty mackerel with beans and carrots. For dessert, we had such a good pudding that my husband ordered a second one! There is an extensive wine list too.
The staff are warm, friendly and charming. Although they all speak excellent English, they encouraged us to try and speak a bit of our limited Portuguese and we had lots of laughs about this.
I loved the tiling, ceramics and the attention to detail in the restaurant. It really added to the warm, cosy atmosphere. Hope we can go back there on another holiday!

1° In dishes that have 1/2 dose and one dose, the quantity served in one dose is ridiculous, frankly reduced.
2° After a mistake in a portion of meat in the bowl, for take away, in which they forgot a side dish (french fries), they agreed that they would make a new portion to compensate as we were 15km away and we would have to go to the restaurant again to pick up the order , they give us a dose of potatoes. The dish only contained 1/2 dose of potatoes so from the restaurant's perspective we were duly compensated for all the inconvenience.
