If you are looking for a high-end Mexican meal with good service and a nice atmosphere, this is the place for you. There is likely to be a wait, it is popular amongst locals and tourists alike, and this is because the menu offers a variety of good dishes. Dining is only outside for now, and there is plenty of room to wait until your table is ready (they even offer you drinks while you wait).
My meal was good, but most of the entrees were in the $20-$30 range, which was steep for Mexican in my opinion. Add on top of that the drink they offer while you wait (a can of beer) costs you $6.
Dinner for one ended up being $50. It was good, but I won’t go back.

Came here at 930 PM after a long day of driving. It was not very crowded, we were seated quick and the servers were fast and professional.
I ordered the 3 Enchiladas (beef, pork, chicken) combo, which was for an amazing 15 dollars. You get 3 stuffed enchiladas and a plate full of beans and rice.
The food was amazing, and it came out fast. One of the best Mexican style restaurant I have ate. Honestly, if you are swinging down to Zion, i recommended this place 100%.

After a full day of hiking the Zion Narrows I was freezing (despite having rented full dry suits) and super tired. After returning our Narrows gear we drove over to the Bit & Spur. We had seen this location while driving to the restaurant we ate at the night before and decided to give it a try. Parking was complementary for diners.
We were seated quickly on a Friday night in early December, however almost immediately after being seated the restaurant was absolutely packed. It appeared to be a combination of tourists (such as us) tired and in winter hiking gear as well as locals (tables around us appeared to know and interact with staff).
We started with an order of chips and salsa (not complementary as you often see at mexi restaurants). I also ordered a cup of the soup of the day because I was freezing. Both the chips/salsa and my soup were delicious. For our main meals we both ordered the cheese enchilada platters. They came with rice, beans, and a small side of salad greens. The sides and the actual enchiladas were tasty, but I was not a big fan of the flavor of the enchilada sauce. My fiance loved it though and scarfed all of his meal down and ate the remainder of mine.
We both enjoyed this location and would definitely return in the future.

I was on vacation in Utah this past weekend so my friend and i went to Zion Saturday, October 24th. We heard nothing but great things about this restaurant but we ended up very disappointed needless to say. We got there right at 5, when they opened. Waited about 15 minutes to sit down and then were sat by a hostess. We were then greeted by our waitress and we decided to order food and drinks all at once because we were in a semi hurry to head to our air bnb. We ordered two margaritas as drinks, we didn't get them for about 20-25 minutes and that was after we asked our waitress where our drinks were. We then noticed that all the tables that got there after us, we're getting their food before us. We asked our waitress if our food was coming soon, we waited and waited. 50 minutes went by! Still no food yet the table of 10 people next to us got their food before us even though we had arrived before. It was a huge bummer and we asked our waitress why this was happening and she noted that all of the other tables had ordered appetizers which was not true at all. We looked around and saw tacos, burritos, etc. anyways, since we had been waiting a solid 50 minutes for our food we decided to ask for it to go since we wanted to get out of there. we told our waitress we were disappointed in the service and the lack of care towards their guests, she didn't really seem to care which is a huge bummer when you are paying $70 plus for dinner and two drinks total. Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody if they want to get taken care of. Would have rather spent our money let alone time, at another restaurant down the street. We also weren't even offered to get something comped off of our bill.

A busy bar with pool table and a small restaurant that serves great Mexican food. The carnitas stew was served with warm tortillas, small salad and beans. It was delicious. The enchilada combo was also very tasty and ample food for us on a rainy night when few places were open. The brownie creme brulee was a wonderful, delicious supply.

After a day of hiking Timber Creek Overlook Trail in the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park, Bit & Spur offered meals you could sink your teeth into.
I couldn't resist trying Great Deceiver Imperial Pilsner from Wasatch Brewery (a nice Pilsner), and my wife had a Fresh Fruit Margarita (no complaints there!). Accompanying that, we had chips with salsa and homemade guacamole. The chips held up to the thick dips, not disintegrating like so many paper-thin Mexican chips do. My wife said her entree was pretty average fare (the Taco And Enchilada Combo), but my entree was first rate, particularly so because I paid $3 extra to have it smothered in chile verde sauce (Chicken Burrito with Mayocabo beans and rice, enchilada sauce, queso fresca and pico de gallo, all smothered with chile verde).
We tried different restaurants our other two nights in Springdale, but would have been happy to eat here again. See our reviews for Stage Coach Grille ("Meal and a view") and Zion Pizza & Noodle Co. ("Pizza place with a surprise").

There was about 8 customers and had the servers tripping over each other due to lack of customers. I saw at least 6 servers. We ordered 2 burritos and 2 side tacos. Within 4 minutes, the food was served. Mmmmm, did they know I was coming and they read my mind??!!! Seemed to be premade plates, heat and eat. Unfortunately, they forgot to turn the microwave on heat. The meat in the tacos was so cold that it was stuck together in a clump. The burrito was covered in a sauce that was actually drowned. Wasn't even lukewarm. As soon as I realized this, every server seemed to have moved to the patio out front and was socializing. I should have read the reviews before I chose to eat here..... My advice, keep driving......

Bit & Spur had been recommended to us, but our overall experience was a little lacking what others have shared here in reviews. We sat in the spacious back so there was plenty of distance with us and other tables. I'm not sure that anyone can really make a great margarita in Utah with the liquor laws as they are - my friend thought his was just ok, and I stayed with beer. The guac seemed a little flavorless, but the biggest disappointment for me was the fish tacos. I love fish tacos and order them almost anywhere I can. I don't remember what the fresh fish was for these tacos, but they did not seem to be a good value for the little amount of fish on the two tacos and the price paid. Service was fine, but wouldn't make this stop again and couldn't recommend to others based on our experience.

Our B&B had recommended this place so we made a reservation a couple weeks in advance, which was good because the place seemed pretty full. The food is good. I'm not used to being charged for chips and salsa, but maybe free chips and salsa is an east coast thing? At any rate the salsa was really good. I had the verde pork stew which was good, and has a nice kick, but it was a lot more potato than pork. My husband had a taco and an enchilada, both of which were really good. The side of Mexican street corn was delicious. My sangria was good too. Service was really fast and friendly, which surprised me given how busy they were. Great option after spending the day at Zion.

Disappointed, if you order a salad please ask them to hold some of the lettuce otherwise it will be enough for a table of 5. All lettuce, old cold burnt chicken. Unfortunately we were recommended to try this restaurant.
We were very disappointed. We are tequila snobs and asked for a certain kind (we did not get it, since we drink it at home over ice, we know what it taste like)..and I am sure we were served Jose Cuervo. I couldn’t drink it, it was not what I ordered and paid for.
All in all a bad experience.

The sangria was great but the Chips and Salsa was AWESOME! Ordered a chicken taco, beef taco and beef enchilada was plenty for 2 to share. Chicken was perfect! Beef a bit spicy but it was beef not hamburger so still very good. Again the salsa was fabulous. Ordered Peppermint ice cream for dessert, wow said it was made fresh on site. Grab a scoop you won't be sorry!

We are twice at this restaurant on a recent trip to Zion. Make reservations as they are very busy. Tamales are great, but I’d steer clear of the polenta cakes. Tables are well-distanced and restaurant is great for families, couples or small groups. Service is excellent—the friendly wait-staff is very well-trained and experienced and management knows what they are doing. Two deer munched on the grass at the back of the property one of evenings we were eating. Lovely setting. Go early so you can watch the sunset in this lovely, casual setting. But reserve if possible!

They have fabulous outdoor seating's including a large back "yard" with the canyon walls behind. It looked very hard to get a table out there. We sat on the outdoor patio/porch which was very nice. They have plants, hummingbirds and misters that add to the scenery.
Their menu is rather small with a mix of Mexican, salads, and meat options for example: fish tacos, burritos, ribs, carne asada, ribeye, rosemary chicken pasta, polenta cakes, chile relleno.
We had the cheese enchilada with red mole sauce black beans, rice, and salad. They where fabulous. The entire dish was very flavorful and tasting a bit different but good. The rice was a bit of a herb rice and the enchiladas were covered with tasty cheese. Ummm..
The service was good but busy. The restaurant in general was very busy with people waiting by 6pm.

Haven’t even eaten here. Supposed to be a decent place to eat. The hostess is maybe the most obnoxious host at a restaurant I’ve ever run into in my life. I’ve eaten all over the country in greasy spoons to Michelin star restaurants and I’ve never run in to someone acting so above her customers in a snobby and elite way in my life. I hope the food is decent after that.

Bit and Spur is average and over priced. The wait staff was very good and the margaritas were nice. The jalapeño’s were small and bland. A bowl of chips and salsa cost 6 dollars, we are talking chips and salsa. The guacamole was ok but add that on the salsa price you just paid $10. I got the tacos and the pork was in small chunks and so so dry with only cheese on top. I even added the salsa, didn’t help. I felt the pork was probably cooked days ahead or even leftover from other meals. The beans were nice but felt they came from a can. My wife had the Sopo, nothing special, the mushrooms and beans felt like they came from a can. Two drinks, two appetizers and two entree’s for $70 dollars for so so food, is overpriced and average! The wait staff and service was the only silver lining.
