This is an extremely high-end steak place. The ribeye --without potato or any sides -- cost $85! (the menu just says "market price) so you don't know the cost until you sit down. The steak was good but definitely not worth the price. The rack...of lamb also cost $85 and it was seriously over-salted. The only dish that was worth the price was the burrata appetizerMore

Friendly host. Really nice and cozy atmosphere. We ordered calamari as appetizer and were surprised when our main course arrived before. When asked the waiter, he acted like we never ordered it. I paid $38 dollars for a fish that had no flavor whatsoever and...the potatoes were undercooked. We were a party of 3 people and the waiter added 20% gratuity to our checks. I understand this is a practice with big parties, we were 3!! The man who forgot my appetizer judged our party, deemed us people who dont know how to tip and decided that I was obligated to pay him 20%.More

We came with some friends to visit Zion and decided to eat here on our last night. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Steak was cooked to perfection and fish was delicious!! The asparagus was my favorite size, I know weird to talk about size, but YES!!!...The cheese cake was enormous and delicious! So, yes, expensive, but totally worth it for a special night!More

Bummer we came here on Valentine’s Day. We made a reservation at 5pm and were one of the first there. We were seated in a two seater so had to sit across from each other. I asked if there was a table we could sit...next to each other and the manager said no because they were booked. We proceeded to see 5 other couples seated later in the exact places that would have accomodated what we wanted. We began with the thick bacon appetizer. It was seriously all fat. The sea bass was good but my boyfriends steak was awful. Not seasoned, tough and $68. You had to pay extra for the sides. A $12 uninspiring baked potato and another side $12 bland mushrooms. Wouldn’t you put the mushrooms on the steak? The service was good, the martinis and wine were good but we felt a bit sick paying that much for such low quality food. We would gladly pay and have for high quality but if you have any other choice, skip this restaurant. Go to Dulivia. That place is amazing and a good value.More

There were limited menu choices and all entrees were at least $29. When one lists the prices ranges, it should reflect the meal and not bread starters which were even skimpy based on the price. We didn't let one of our kids order a steak...because it was over $50. Almost everyone ended up ordering $29 spaghetti and bison meatballs (meh) or meat loaf (overgenerous portion). It was a bit crazy and everyone in our large party laughed about it in the end.More

We had two choices for dinner on a weeknight- not much open in the off season. Switchback is over priced for low quality food. The server hyped everything up like this would be the greatest meal in Springdale. An 8 oz fillet was $56 which...I would happily pay if worth it - this was a chunk of under seasoned beef that was allegedly aged for 28 days - was not tender at all. The shareable ala carte broccoli was mushy and bland - zero seasoning - $12. The ala carte mashed potatoes were the highlight- $12. Presentation was awful - filet thrown on a plate with a sweet pepper and a sprig of rosemary. If you wanted au jus or sauce - $6…everything on the menu was overpriced. Subway was our other option- would have been better than Switchback - dinner for 2 for $25 instead of $165…More

Disappointing overpriced meal We arrived at 7:20 on a Tuesday night in January. Although they had a good amount of patrons it was not that busy. Took over 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after we had been seated and even pour us water!...Apparently the hostess forgot to tell anyone we were there.,! We were almost ready to leave, my husband actually had to get up to ask if anyone was going to wait on us. We finally got a lovely server who took our order but our appetizer and salad came before our drinks! The salads were humongous! Luckily I chose to have the beet salad as my entree. But it was really arugula salad with some flavorless beets. I also ordered a side of steamed broccoli- again flavorless, not a speck of salt or lemon on it. And the portion was enough for a family of 4! My husband’s meal was good, - meatloaf and wedge salad but again portions were huge! They would do better to cut portion sizes and prices! I really wanted the lamb but $85 MP is too dear for me! Everything is a la carte and huge portions. They would do better in cutting portions and prices!More

Our family had Thanksgiving dinner at Switchback and it was a terrible experience. The food was awful. The kitchen was extremely slow in getting the food out. We had been seated for 45 minutes before we even had a bread basket served. The staff was...rude. Our server was good and trying her best, but everything else about the dinner was very, very disappointing. We would never go back.More

After long day of travel hotel next door offered up several suggestions of places to grab a bite this place was NOT one of them. Given we were tired and just wanted to grab a bite to eat before heading to bed we decided to...walk over instead of getting in car and driving to one of the recommended places. MISTAKE We were a party of 4. I ordered a High West Old Fashioned off the menu. Never have a tasted something so bad. Curious as to if they used Fireball to mix instead of High West Bourbon. It was like drinking a drink doused in cinnamon, i somehow managed get it down. Other three members of party indicated their drinks were better than mine but not much better. Dinners menu isn't anything to write home about and every special was $85. The Rib Eye $85, the Lamb Chops $85. I wasn't going to spend $85 on 4 lamb chops that is highway robbery. The Crown Rack of Baby Back Pork Ribs was disgusting. Interesting presentation but had texture of ribs that had been par boiled rolled up to look fancy then flash broiled and doused with a horrible barbeque sauce. The first few bites were decent but once you got past the outer layer the inside looked inedible. Our friends shared the Ribeye which was asked for medium and probably came out on the rarer side of medium rare. The side of mashed potatoes they said were worse then boxed flake potatoes. My wife got the Sea Bass she said it was Sea Bass nothing special about it. Service was mediocre to poor which is why we never complained about the flavor of our meals we were tired and just wanted to eat and get to bed. Our tiredness does not represent our feelings of the meal it was bad. We ordered 2nd round of drinks when our meal came, I did not order another old fashioned, we had to ask twice for them. The hostess was very pleasant women. After eating we fully understood why hotel did not recommend this place and suggested a drive.More

Beautiful restaurant, nice view, nice staff and good menu. We had the halibut and steak and shared an appetizer (burrata - it is homemade and was delicious). We wanted to go back but on Mondays the restaurant is closed.

I was doubtful whether this restaurant would be as good as a steakhouse in a large city. Doubtful if it was worth the money. We actually had an excellent meal. The bartender Josh was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The shrimp cocktail had...6 large, tasty shrimp with a delicious dipping sauce. The meatloaf was great. The salmon was a huge portion and cooked perfectly. The dining room had a sophisticated yet casual ambiance. Recommend!More

walked the extra distance from our hotel because we wanted a good steak. was not busy at 6:oo pm and looked nice. we ordered the petite filet, and salmon entrée. and everything ,salad, potato was à la carte. a couple of craft beers. service was...slow considering the place was empty. the salmon was good, the filet was average, same as texas road house but twice the price. menu said 20% added for party of 5 or more, so was surprised they added it for us TWO, yes, we ordered two more beers, then the check came . $191.00 for the two of us.. my advice, not worth the money. would have had a better meal at texas roadhouse for about $80.00 paulMore

Good service, good Ny strip steak, very dry spare ribs. Can happen, but should not in this price range. Sadly, no further comments from kitchen nor any compensation offered.
