We found ourselves driving down the main strip in Springdale looking for a place to eat dinner after a long day of hiking in Zion National Park. We spotted this location and decided to take a chance. Parking in the lot was complementary if you were eating at the restaurant. Jack's was attached to a building with the Switchback Grill (steakhouse) and a small souvenir and liquor shop. The restaurant was decently busy when we arrived on a Thursday evening in early December with several tables and the bar area occupied. There were multiple TVs around the room broadcasting various sports channels. Our waitress was very pleasant and quickly greeted us and took drink orders. Pricing was as expected in a tourist town such as this. We decided to start with a half portion of the onion rings. When the waitress brought them I actually said aloud to her, "are you sure this is the half portion?" because it was a huge platter. She laughed (as though people said this all the time) and assured us it was. We hardly put a dent into that platter of onion rings and I was actually disappointed in how big it was because it seemed so wasteful. For our dinners I selected the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich which had cheddar, muenster, tomato and pesto sauce on sourdough. The sandwich came with fries, but I substituted for a side salad and was very glad I did. The sandwich was so greasy as to not be enjoyable. The fresh element of the salad helped, but I didn't even finish half of the sandwich. My partner ordered the fish and chips which he seemed to enjoy. They came with a side of coleslaw which he doesn't like and passed along to me. I doubt we would return to this location in the future.

I hike and explore majestic spots enough to know that eating places around these busy attractions are often "average" at best. I was quite impressed by how good the food was in this place - particularly their BBQ Brisket sandwich (and I live in Kansas, where I love the local BBQ). If their BBQ is consistently this good, then they are truly a step above most eating places around national parks. Generous serving sizes for either sandwich or salad selections. Bar drinks are just as "generously" made/mixed considering its location. However, apparent prudence and responsible consumption of spirited beverages are still assumed and deeply appreciated. The place is quite popular and can get busy very fast. It may take a while for a table (even a spot in the spacious bar) in the evenings when the parks wind down; but it has been worth the wait while we were visiting the area. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and good food/drinks in an excellent location near a popular hotel chain and one of the park's main entrances.

My family came here for dinner (August 2019). The taco salad that I got was absolutely delicious, while the rest of my family loved what they got. I believe my dad got the BBQ brisket or something like that, and he absolutely loved it. Overall, we got there at a good time, it wasn't too busy, so it was nice. The food was good for a decent price, and of course there were TV's everywhere so people could watch the various sporting events.

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. It was crowded so we thought that was a good sign. We were seated but no one ever waited on us for quite a long time. We moved to the bar to get service. The bartender was more focused on chatting with other guests than watching for if we needed anything. We ordered wings - they were breaded and heavy. The caesar salad had large chunks of lettuce cores and way too much dressing. The cheese fries had barely any cheese. I watched the bartender make my bloody mary and there was maybe 1/2 oz of vodka so I basically got a thick, way too spicy (and I like spice) tomato juice. The draft beer was very cold and that was the only good thing.

Local owners, they have great food, 14 tv’s and full bar service. The owner is a longtime resident and really cares about the food, service and the help. In January a lot of Springdale closes down, not Jacks! Go here and eat here!

Jack's have a large menu with a number of burgers, sandwiches, fish&chips, salads. brats, quesadilla, wings, etc. We had two different burgers and they were both fabulous. There are huge and very juicy/tender. You can chose fries, sweet potato fries of 1/2 and 1/2. I had 1/2 and 1/2 the regular fries where great but the sweet potato were fabulous. The service was excellent the gentleman and was our waiter was very nice and efficient. They seemed to take the pandemic very seriously. We sat outside with a view of the canyon rocks. They don't have the best location for outdoor seating but it was still very nice. One extra bonus is no waiting. We were on the early side about 6pm on a Sunday and got a table right away while there were long waits at other restaurants. That is usually a bad sign but not in this case. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We ordered carryout from here on a Sunday night while staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door. The menu is decent, with typical American pub fare and a couple of vegetarian options. We got an order of cheese fries with no bacon, the ultimate grilled cheese, a guacamole burger with a veggie patty subbed in, coleslaw, and onion rings. The serving sizes were large and everything tasted pretty good. The onion rings weren't too oily, and the veggie burger was actually pretty great. The total (with tip) was $48. COVID-19: Signs on the door directing people to wear masks. All staff (including those I could see in the kitchen) and all customers not seated at a table complied.

It was not a good experience. Online ordering was down, so we had to go there to order take out. Ordered coconut shrimp for $12 and got 5 soggy shrimp. Ordered a teriyaki chicken rice bowl and the rice was very hard and not cooked. Ordered cheese fries, they forgot to give them to us, and went back for them 40 min later and they gave us the ones we originally ordered from under a heat lamp. They were luke warm, and we didn’t even get an apology. Would bot recommend.

We hiked in Zion National Park during the day and needed a bite to eat. Other restaurants in the area were packed or pretty expensive. We found this place AND they followed Covid protocols closely. However, we had the privilege of dining with Shelby as our waiter. Our visit was during peak dinner hours and he guided through his own personal recommendations of the menu. Shelby is clearly a young professional in the service industry- personable, efficient, and attentive. We enjoyed our hearty portions and the selections of ice cold draft beers. We were surprised to have found this gem hidden away in a town full of tourist traps. Shelby left an impression on us and our experience would not have been the same without him and his service.

We ate at Jack’s after a long day hiking at Zion National Park. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. They were understaffed and were not able to use their outdoor seating. This also made the service a bit slower. However the staff were friendly and worked hard. The food was very good and the portions were generous. There was a wait to get a table. The food is normal bar food, sandwiches, burgers, barbecue, etc. They were out of pulled pork when we visited. Additionally because of market prices the brisket was more expensive than the menu prices. Because of our wait times for a table and food they did give us a complimentary dessert, it was a good meal and if they were fully staffed it would have been wonderful. Even understaffed it was a good meal. We also enjoyed being able to watch some games while we enjoyed our meal.

Were desperate to find a take out place late (around 8:30 pm) on a Monday evening. Springdale restaurants were so busy during Spring Break Week that no one was even answering phones. By the time we arrived after 9 pm Jack's had stopped serving, but the staff was kind enough to put our take out order through anyhow. Portions are large. We ordered a classic burger and it was big enough to make a second meal out of it the following day on a Zion hike.

We tried to eat here... While staying at the hotel next door, this seemed like a very convenient place to get takeout. When I called to try to order, they informed me they were not offering takeout??? I thought okay that's weird, but they have a large outdoor dining area, so we can still sit out there and enjoy the view (which is what we were in Springdale for to begin with). We walked over and requested an outdoor table, only to be informed they were "not seating out there right now". As a family, we just were not looking to sit in a crowded, loud bar to eat, so we ended up getting takeout from somewhere else and enjoying it on the balcony table at our hotel. It seemed a huge waste not to seat anyone on the large outdoor patio or offer takeout. Do they not want business????

Price is a bit high and the service not top notch but about what you’d expect in a tourist town at the beginning of the season. Burgers are $12-15 but plentiful and tasty. Fries are good too. Time to prepare food on a busy night was much quicker than expected - 15min. Worth a look everyone.

This place is fine, not over or underwhelming. Food does come out quick which is great if you're exhausted and hungry after a day of hiking. We each had burgers and they were both good but huge - can easily split one and maybe add on an appetizer. Great draft beer options and a full bar.
