This is a no frills budget (by Honolulu standards) Self serve Mexican place serving the standard burritos / Tacos / beer. The decor is pretty average. Location is opposite Waikiki beach. So if you are hungry after a swim and need a quick bite this is a good place. Just don’t expect any extra frills.

At first I was really annoyed at this place because when my husband and I ordered they almost acted like we shouldn’t order what we ordered. I ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the Carne Asada fries and were told brusquely that it would take 8 to 10 minutes. I was like why put it on the menu if they don’t want you to order it?? But we waited and we wanted to be grumpy with this place because we felt kind of annoyed but as soon as I started eating I was like this is amazing. They obviously make their tortillas fresh and their fish, rice, beans, and sauces delicious. Guacamole was phenomenal!! So yeah well deserved 5 star.

The restaurant has a perfect location right across the street from Waikiki Beach. We ordered their nachos which came with a choice of meat, 2 salsas, lettuce, beans, sour cream and guacamole. One order was enough for 3-4 people. My husband thought their nachos were one of the best he has had. They only have frozen margaritas, none on the rocks. The pineapple and lime margaritas were good choices.

Surprised at how many good reviews this place got on TA and google. It is VERY casual, more like fast food than a restaurant except that it wasn’t fast. My entre took more than 20 minutes. They did refund half the entre price after I scoffed when they offered me free chips. The night we were there, it was VERY loud, conversation unfriendly. Food Itself was okay.

This restaurant, by far, has the very worst Mexican food we have ever had anywhere in the world. The place is filthy, dirty everything (tables, menus, plate ware). The food is terrible! Not sure who made up this menu. Unfortunately we lacked the judgment to leave and actually ordered. :( The food was not only horribly planned, but old too! The rice (not Mexican) was old, greasy and crunchy. The meat lost texture and was gummy. We couldn’t eat it, so we paid and left. This is truly bad. Pretend you went to the apartment of a dirty teenage, unsupervised, bachelor pad and they severed you cheap, fast food leftovers from a drunken party the previous day + the food had been left out all night-exactly like that. The service was mediocre, but I am surprised people stay working there, serving that food. Place is sad!!!!

Hello Travel4L4K4H, Are you 100% sure you visited our restaurant, and not another Mexican restaurant around the corner which we are sometimes confused with? As you can see by our nearly 200 reviews and 4.5 star rating, your review is the opposite of almost everyone else's. What time of day did you eat with us? I ask because your review reference plate ware, but we only use plate ware for breakfast. We use eco-friendly disposable bowls, etc for lunch/dinner. So if this review was for lunch or dinner, you are definitely reviewing the wrong restaurant. Your review doesn't include many specifics as to what you ordered or what was wrong with it, which makes us wonder about the legitimacy of this review. Finally our breakfast staff is primarily older mature servers and managers, who could not possibly be mistaken "dirty teenagers". Our restaurant: We use only all-natural meats, free of added hormones/steroids/antibiotics. Additionally, our beef is 100% grass-fed, grass-finished, free-range Black Angus. All our salsas and guacamole are made in house from fresh produce delivered every morning, by culinary-trained chefs. We are consistently rated the best Tex-Mex restaurant on the island. We hope you will take a moment to double-check you are reviewing the correct restaurant, and correct any mistakes. Mahalo.

This is an unassuming pace. We stopped here twice. This restaurant offers order at the counter service and the order is then delivered to your table. You grab whatever table is available. This place is airy, and you can pretty much people watch form any table. First time we stopped here we just got margaritas: Strawberry and Pineapple, they were pretty good. We looked around the menu and what people were ordering, and the concept and food reminded us of Chipotle with individual ownership flare. The second tie we stopped, we had again margaritas and breakfast. Breakfast was very good, filling, and quick. Prices are those that you would expect in Waikiki, service is not bad but basic, don’t expect too much as it is not a typical sit down and order restaurants. But it’s worth the visit.

After you climb the stairs to reach the restaurant, you find a cafeteria style line to place your order. Think Chipotle without the chains galore. We got a burrito and quesadilla. The food did not disappoint in size or flavor. Traditional Tex-mex with standard pricing. The margaritas leave much to be desired. I recommend drinking elsewhere but beverage options that are non-alcoholic are plentiful. They have Jarritos, Hawaiian juices, water, and more. Seating is available inside only but it’s first come, first served with self-seating. It’s right on the strip across from the beach and the Marriott Waikiki hotel. Quick and easy casual dining.

If you know of Chipotle Mexican grill in the USA, this is exactly of same type. But it adds a unique touch to it - fantastic location with the view of the Waikiki beach from a great interior ambience. The menu suits kids to adults and vegan, vegetarian to meat lovers. You are provided with the freedom to choose what goes into your burrito or bowl, everything made just around same time with fresh ingredients. For the meat lovers, you have steak, beef, chicken and pork. For vegan and vegetarian like me, you have roasted veggies and beans. Depending on your spicy levels, you can top your meal with very mild, milder to little spicy mexican sauces all freshly made. I love their sustainable plating on cardboard bowls and aluminum foils used as lid. Definitely this is the eatery you don't want to miss in your Hawaii trip.

March 5, 2022 Just to start off, we were greatly appreciative of one of the staff to bring us up using the service elevator since we had a stroller but after that brief moment of kindness is when everything went downhill. My family I turn was up to order when we requested before they started making a regular burrito bowl if we could have everything in the bowl in sections and not just all toppings stacked up on itself due to my kids being very picky. The girl working (who was the one helpful ) said yes and put the first 2 toppings(rice and meat) side by side. She then gave it over to the boy that had blonde highlights/ top of his hair bleached and told him when we requested. He then walked away to do something quick and came back and asked us what else we wanted and we requested cheese at which point he threw right on top of everything. I said “oh that was supposed to be on the side” he then turned around and aggressively threw the bowl in the trash at which point I had to calm my wife down because she was about to go off on him. He grabbed the rice and steak all mad and came back to me saying “what else” . My wife ordered the carne asada fries which we had to wait 30 mins to get because I went up,noticing everyone that came after us were getting their food already, and asked what was the status on my order. The guy with the longer hair went to check and said that it was coming out and I saw him go ask the blonde hair boy about it and noticed he just laughed . My wife and I figured he didn’t make our order on purpose out of spite but I cant know that for sure, thats how we just felt. That blonde hair kid really was treating everyone else so different then he was treating us, which I hope it wasn't a race thing. The other employees were working hard and still were not being completely disrespectful and rude. It was that 1 kid with blonde/bleached tipped hair kid who almost looked like was in charge. If thats the leadership they have working that establishment, I honestly feel bad for not only the owners but for the employees too. If you dont like you job then just quit man , don’t spread your horrible attitude on others just cause your hating what you do. We really didn’t even want to deal with them helping us down the service elevator so I just carried the whole double stroller down the stairwell while my wife held our baby and kids.

Follow the sign upstairs...it's a cafeteria-style service, but the portions were large and tasty. My husband's burrito weighed about 5 lbs, it was 2 meal's worth of food. I had fish tacos, which were excellent, and my kid devoured some chicken tacos. Meals came with rice and beans, again large portions. Added 2 cold beers and an orange Jarritos and total meal was about $60.00. You don't have to spend $100+ for dinner to get quality and healthy food..

We actually got food here twice and took it back to our hotel to eat on our lanai. You get to choose your meat, veggies and cheeses to customize your order. Both times our food was hot, fresh and tasty. The chips and pico are good here too. The price is good for Waikiki. It’s a casual restaurant and the workers are friendly.

This place was ok if you werent looking for it youd miss the door to go upstairs. Friendly staff, which is always a plus. I got carne asada fries and a bean and cheese burrito. The fries were delicious, the chipotle on the steak was a little over powering tho drowning out the other flavors but tender. The bean and cheese burrito was just that with some flavorless lime cilantro rice. 2 burritos and 1 fry $50, worth the price probably not but It was the only thing open past 9 near the hotel that wasnt Burger King or McDonalds.

Close to a Chipotle on a good day but don’t let the single $ fool you. With a beer, a margarita, a soda and a meal for 4 people it was $98. At almost $25 per person. One $ is BS. At least it was a quick in and out in a busy time.

Taste is great but…. Man was the food cold! The eggs were hot because they scramble them fresh but a $15 plate of Cowboy Huevos Rancheros was COLD. If you’re going to open and server breakfast you should make an effort to serve your food hot

we ate here twice. I had the Huevos Rancheros both times. and they were good. the thing is that if you are from Texas the Huevos Rancheros are made differently. they have black beans instead of re fried beans. I prefer the way it is made @ OMG better than the Texas version.
