After walking by this place many times with my family and saying we need to try this place sometime, we finally did. Made it there just as Happy Hour was ending but got a great selection of tasty appetizers and pizza at a great price....Right in the heart of things at Waikiki, location is great. We will be back for sure.More
Not so great on social distancing. I had a concern and the manager held her hand out like I was supposed to shake it. When I stood back, she stood closer to me. A manager who doesn't understand social distancing? That in and of itself...is reason to be skeptical.More
Ate here with some friends mainly because it is ranked so well in TripAdvisor. The beer menu and pub food drew us in. If you are looking for authentic Hawaiian, skip this place. But if you are looking for tasty and interesting drinks and fairly...standard pub food, then this is a nice stop. I got a flight, which is in the picture. The most interesting was certainly the Kombucha followed by the Ginger Cider. My friends got some flavored Seltzers which were OKish. We were lucky to get a seat overlooking the street which was a nice view.More
Great beer, location and food! Nice laid back atmosphere in the heart of Waikiki. Shared some pizza, salad and beer for dinner. No complaints!
I love my time in Hawaii - relaxing, easy-going, slow-paced. The Maui Brewing Company is none of that. None. It's crowded, loud, loud... and expensive. The ahi salad in particular was too expensive and didn't come as described in the menu: no tomatoes, greens were...a mixture of tough kale + iceberg lettuce, and the two pieces of tuna were very small.More
Enjoyed a fun happy hour in January 2020. The cold beer - Big Swell IPA and Bikini Blonde were great. We shared a Brussels pizza and a beet goat cheese salad and they both were delicious. The atmosphere was nice and our server was friendly....We would recommend this spot, it was an easy walk from our hotel and a nice way to cool down in the afternoon.More
After 10 days in Hawaii and eating seafood and other island cuisine, we decided we needed to go back to basic and went to Maui Brewing for dinner. We tried a variety of the craft beers and were pleasantly surprised at how good the burgers...were as well. We sat up above the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, but that also provided some entertaining people watching as well.More
You may want to limit your beer consumption here since the you'll have to negotiate the stairs on the way down. Service was slow although it was not crowded at lunchtime. Birds amble freely about the dining area. Prices, like the stairs, are steep.
We stopped here the 1st time, for breakfast. The open-air view from the (I think it's the 3rd story) overlooking Kalakaua Avenue is great and the food was great too. We went back for drinks (ice cold draft beef) another afternoon and then returned for...dinner a few days later. For lunch and dinner, I would suggest reservations, as it gets crowded. I like the play area beyond the restaurant, where there is shuffleboard and other games. Good food, good service, a place you really like to hang out (as evidenced by our going there 3 times!)More
We had gone to the Maui Brewing Company in Kailua and so we decide on a hot day to get a brew and dinner at the one in Waikiki. The restaurant is on the upper floor overlooking the street. We had a good dinner and...some brews that were tasty. They had music while we were there and that added to the noise of the place. It will not be a quiet dinner with the street noise and the entertainment.More
