I did not reservations and they seated me right away. Immediately, the wait staff began to give me the best dinner I have had on this trip so far, from the specially served, smoked/bottled Old Fashion (you have to try it), to the wonderful salad and Chef's special treats for the table....then I moved onto what turned out to be one of the Signature Dishes for the restaurant: Lobster Pot Pie! From the table side service of this dish to the perfect balance of taste...I can see why this is the Signature Dish. I have a couple more days in Waikiki and I am going back. Oh yeah, had live guitar music that was extremely relaxing! Thank you for a great experience!

My dining companions, my teenage children, were super impressed and I was mostly in agreement Staff was amazing— plentiful, ever present but non-intrusive, accommodating and quick. Add friendly, polite and engaging to boot. The menu had impressive variety for a “steak place “, and interesting and unique offerings for the sides. We started with a complementary French fries sampler of different flavors with dipping sauces to match. All three were quickly appreciated and made for a cool alternative to a bread basket with the truffle fries getting high marks. My daughter, the picky eater in the family, chose the fillet which was prepared exactly as ordered, medium rare. To be honest with you, I’m not quite sure what a $67 steak should taste like even as the particular carnivore that I am, but she was delighted and ate the whole thing without fuss. She did grudgingly give myself and my son small tastes, and we had to agree that the incredibly tender beef was extremely satisfying. She added on pork fried rice as her side which wasn’t as fried as you would expect but extremely flavorful and an interesting companion to the fillet. My son chose the pork chop dish, a large pounded piece of pork with a crunchy carbohydrate coating served with small fingerling potatoes and green beans. There was a subtle butter curry sauce for either dipping or dressing the meat – – I for one thought his dish was absolutely fabulous, and had no problem accepting a portion of his meal in exchange for a portion of mine. I was looking for something on the light side, and so chose several of the sushi roll offerings -– the spicy tuna, the tuna avocado, and the yellow tale with scallions, extra of course to share. As expected, the fish was incredibly fresh and tasty. Live music accented the whole experience We capped this fabulous meal with the 24k molten chocolate sundae with strawberries switched out for the usual cherries. Yes there was actual edible gold flake on the crispy cookie-like exterior “ hat “ to the dish of pure heaven that needed to be cracked open to get to the goodies below. Wow and yum pretty much sums it up

The food is great. Hamachi $5.00, Poke, $6.00, (one piece each), Two Mai Tai with coconut juice, $14.00, Beef tartare, $26.00, the size of a burger, Wedge salad, $16.00, Small shell of crustaceans, Shrimp, lobster, 4 small Kumamoto oyster, 4 pieces, (Sake, (2) Maguro, Hamachi ) and 3 inches of King crab, $95.00. Beer $4.00. Cocktails, Poke, Beer and Hamachi were happy hour prices. Very tasty. Bar service were polite and bright. Nicely designed Polynesian surroundings hiding the food- court feeling. Wit tip, (the restaurant assesses the tip)....$249.00. Poor value.

This restaurant is located in the International Marketplace in Waikiki so it's a convenient location. The ambience is amazing. We opted for outdoor dining and it did not disappoint. The wait staff brought us complimentary duck fat fries with a trio of sauces which were really good! I had the Tropic Thunder which was refreshing and light and my boyfriend had the Royal Hawaiian which was delicious and on the stronger side. For dinner, I got the center cut filet mignon which was amazing, tender, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got Prime Delmonico Ribeye which was also really good. We got the trio of sauces on the side. The chimichurri and béarnaise were the best! The 3rd sauce was okay - it reminded me of a ketchup/molasses flavor. For sides we got the mushrooms and pork belly fried rice. The fried rice was amazing and the mushrooms were pretty good. The portions of the sides were a lot so you'll probably have some leftovers! For dessert, we got the basque strawberry cheesecake and coffee and the cheesecake was heavenly! The service was amazing as well as the food. I do not have a bad thing to say about this meal and next time I go back, I will definitely splurge on a nicer cut of steak since this was such a good experience with the "mid-range" priced steaks.

My Mother and Brother were both in town this weekend to celebrate her birthday with me so I decided to treat them to Stripsteak at the international market place in Waikiki. From the moment we walked in, the vibe of the restaurant was very lively and energetic. Staff was very friendly and eager to assist with anything we needed. Our server Tori was very professional and on point throughout our whole dinning experience. The food quality was nothing short of stellar, as the chef and team took great care to make sure each detail of our meal was perfect. We started our night with the Royal seafood tower which consisted of a bounty of seafood offerings including King Crab, Lobster, Oysters, Shrimp, and an amazing assortment of sushi (nigiri, sashimi, maki). We especially enjoyed the accompaniment sauces, (cocktail, yum yum, lilikoi coconut mignonette). For a mid course, we enjoyed the instant bacon which came highly recommended, a sweet and savory dish that just melted in your mouth. We also had the foie gras and pineapple skewers which were a match made in heaven. For our main course we opted to share the 16oz Delmonico Ribeye Mid Rear sliced, a host of sides and sauces, truffle butter and a hot shellfish platter. Hands down one of the most satisfying dinners we have enjoyed in a long time. That steak was the perfect temp, and the texture was so tender. With just enough room left, we ordered the pineapples fosters to share, and oh man this did not disappoint. Thank you Stripsteak team for making our dinning experience so memorable. Its not everyday we have the chance to celebrate special occasions with loved ones, and I know this one will be talked about for many years.

My friend and I had a special dinner at StripSteak Waikiki. It was great! We had a outside table and enjoyed the tropical Hawaii breeze. Our server, Cory explained each dish and with his suggestion, we ordered Instant Bacon and Lobster Tacos for appetizers. I can’t forget the taste. Next time, we’ll definitely get them again. I ordered the Center Cut Filet Mignon for my main dish. My steak was so delicious. Perfect medium. As a side dish, we ordered Asparagus and Mushrooms. They were super tasty as well. We splurged on the decadent 24K Chocolate Molten Cake Sundae as a dessert with tea. So creamy and fabulous. We enjoyed talking and had an incredible evening. We are looking forward to going back to StripSteak Waikiki again. Thank you, Cory. Our dinner was wonderful!

Aloha, I am writing to you to express my disappointment with your establishment. I live in Honolulu and, last night, I came to your restaurant at the International Market Place with two dear friends. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and we were able to get a seat with little waiting time so we decided to try this place out. Our waiter was also nice even though he was so busy that we sometimes had to wait a minute to even get his attention. But this is where the positive elements of your establishment stop. The food came after 45 minutes, the restaurant ran out of complimentary French Fries to start our meal… $33 for a 9 oz. glass of rosé from the Provence region? It said $17 on the menu and then I was asked if I wanted 6 or 9 oz. and get charged $33? We ordered lobster and steak. The steak was nice but came on a plate with nothing else. Not even one piece of green. Just a white plate with a big piece of meat. We ordered two dishes of mashed potatoes (extra charge) just to have something else to go with it. Then the lobster? $59. We expected a nice piece of half lobster for that price but there were literally two tiny pieces of meat on that lobster, sitting on a piece of rock salt. I travel all around the world and have never had a $104 p.p. meal without tip that was this disappointing. I was literally hungry when I left the restaurant. The only thing I feel I ate was mashed potatoes. Since I was with friends we didn’t want to make a scene right then and there but we will not recommend this place to anyone. I will actually tell people to avoid your restaurant because this is a true ripoff! I feel terrible having spent that kind of money at your establishment. I myself work as an educator and work hard for my money and I am furious. Please do not respond to this email with a gift card because I will never set foot in your place again. Please let me know your thoughts however. Yours sincerely, Malia S.

Your feedback is valuable to us We appreciate the time it takes to provide feedback "Decided to being my Wife to Stripsteak for her birthday based on glowing reviews. Unfortunately the experience was horrible! Our waiter did not appear very knowledgeable about the specials or the actual food being served. My Wife ordered the $145 seafood platter, which was not edible. All of the seafood except for the lobster was clearly not fresh to taste and the smell was very fishy. This was brought to the attention of the staff. The steak was cooked too rare and the drink orders were constantly incorrect. My Wife and I come from the restaurant and understand a few mistakes made for this caliber of restaurant, but this was unbelievable! For a $500 meal we ended up leaving more than half of the food still on the plate! I would definately not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are many other choices within walking distance! My coworkers and I were looking for a place to unwind after work and share great food, cocktails, and just relax and decompress. We work in the hospitality industry and heard Stripsteak re-opened so we thought we should give it a try. Stripsteak exceeded our expectations and then some. Even though we predominantly have great weather year round in Hawaii, indoor/outdoor option restaurants are not as widely available as one would think. Located on the Third Level of the International Marketplace, Stripsteak provides this option which is extremely desirable during these new crazy times. The indoor portion has a modern chic aesthetic which is inviting yet warm and intimate feeling while the outdoor pergola has a bright courtyard vibe. Everything on the menu sounded appetizing so we had difficulty narrowing down our selection between the four of us. Our server Tori was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. She recommended a few crowd pleasers that we will definitely be returning for. For starters we enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Rolls which had fresh ahi complimented with a complex garlic ponzu and crispy onion for texture. We also had the Kampachi and Ahi Tuna Poppers. At first it seemed redundant to have ahi twice, however the kampachi portion provided a fattyness to the dish that gave it a richer fuller flavor which was brought together by the acidic Yuzu aioli. I definitely recommend getting both because it is a great progression of flavors. Next we enjoyed the Shiso Chicken Skewers which had the classic combination of ume (plum) and shiso (Japanese mint) and after that we had my personal favorite dish, Instant Bacon. Those two words “instant” and “bacon” had me thinking of two words of my own, “now” and “please.” The pork belly was tender as could be, smokey, and packed with umami. We followed this up with sharing the Prime Delmonico Ribeye which we ordered medium. A lot of times I order my steak one temperature down because someone inevitably overcooks it. Not here though, it was cooked to perfection. Did I mention we also came for cocktails? Throughout our dining experience we enjoyed the Royal Hawaiian cocktail. The Royal Hawaiian was light and refreshing and went dangerously too easy lol. They also had local brewed beers which is always pleasant to see because we love to support local. Overall our experience was exceptional. Definitely a place my coworkers and I will come back to with each other and bring our individual friend groups to also. Since we work in hospitality we will also be recommending this place to all the guest we service.

My family was hungry after doing some shopping and decided to try Stripsteak (our first time). We got to the restaurant a few minutes before they opened and was immediately seated, which was a surprise because they weren’t taking walk-ins. Our servers were Richard and Tori. We had the best seats for the live music, our food arrived quickly, our water glasses were never empty, and they even folded our napkins if we got up to use the bathroom! Mahalo for the over the top service, Tori & Richard! We enjoyed our first experience at Stripsteak! Oh! And thank you, Tori, for the menu recommendations (instant bacon, ahi rolls, hamachi nigiri & sashimi, triple seared steak, rib eye, prime strip steak, and much more)! We ordered everything she suggested and it did NOT disappoint ;)

We chose Stripsteak to celebrate our 18th anniversary and it did not disappoint! In fact it will go down as one of our favorite anniversary dinners of all time. Customer Service: From the moment we arrived at the restaurant until the very end of our dinner, we were constantly looked after, greeted by anybody that walked past us, and our server Nick R. was incredible - such a great conversationalist, anticipated what we wanted, and we never had to wait for anything. We also appreciated the beautiful set up at our table to celebrate our anniversary. Food: I seriously wish that I had three or more stomachs because I would have liked to eat way more than I was able to - that’s how Extensive and delicious the menu is. As complementary starters we had some sort of shrimp amouche Bouche and duck fat fries with various sauces. The fries were decadent and crispy. As our appetizers we got Uni nigiri, the crab Rangoon dip, and the ahi tuna tartare. All of the seafood was incredibly fresh - the uni was like butter and the ahi tuna was a super clear red, seems like it literally walked out of the ocean and onto my plate. For our main course we got the chicken and pork chop katsu (we are not steak eaters but even with that we still chose Stripsteak because everything else on their menu looked so appetizing). Ambience: What a beautiful half indoor / half outdoor setting! We sat on the patio in the cutest booth where we could watch all the activity including a view of the live music. We were so thrilled with her experience and cannot wait to return and try so many other things on the menu. You might even try the steak LOL Thank you Nick, Kevin and the entire Stripsteak crew for a great experience!

After 5 nights of appeasing kids with spaghetti and pizza, it was time for a proper adult meal! So my husband and I booked a table for two at StripSteak and it was worth every penny!!! We sat outside on the open air deck in beautiful surroundings and chose the $100/pp tasting menu. We started with a wonderful soup, prawn toast and sashimi followed by mahi mahi and steak and we finished up with strawberry cheesecake (I've missed some courses I know - they were also awesome). The staff were very attentive and friendly and all in all it was a really wonderful dinner in a perfect location. The top floor of the International Marketplace is stunning, particularly at night.

This was our first time at this location. Everything exceeded our expectations. We had recently visited the Las Vegas location, and this was much more our style; from the location, ambiance and outdoor patio to the amazing service and high quality of the food. Our server Reynaldo was fun and energetic and spot on. Our busser Andryna was quick, witty and funny and very professional. The sommelier, John, was very knowledgeable and interactive. He presented various wines to go with the different cheeses, seafood and desserts. One of the best dinner experiences we've had in a long time. We will return for sure. A+++++++++ Mahalo and Aloha John!!. Lee & Erika

Our expectation was for a family dinner with that "special" feeling while on vacation and we had our expectations taken beyond. This isn't a "cheesecake factory" restaurant, this is a full-service experience with high quality food, beverage, and service. Our waiter Nick R truly made our dining experience one to remember. He was welcoming, charismatic, and knowledgeable. The duck fat French fries with black truffles is too good to pass up, they are savory, indulgent, and satisfying. The selection of steaks is impressive. We all tried different cuts, from A5 Waygu to center cut filet mignon with black truffle butter, to Chilean sea bass. Every item is cooked to absolute perfection and seasoned perfectly. This is the steakhouse you want to visit when you come to Waikiki. Would I recommend? Absolutely.

Our server, Natalia , gave the best service and made the best recommendations. I would recommend 100% anytime, all the time, every time. Go to strip steak and ask for Natalia and get a steak and some cocktails and enjoy the live music, or else you have basically wasted your night in waikiki.
