Fantastic choice of wide range asian dishes, very vibrant/bustling atmosphere, fabulously ornate/traditional decor and artefacts/scuptures/etc. We ate dumplings & plum sauce, green curry, pork penang, rice pudding (different) - all superb! Very much an eatery to seek out! Thanks for a great night 1 day...after my 60th birthday!!More

Great food and friendly service

A wonderful surprise to find a grsst Asian restaurant in Franz Josef. Menu a mix of Indian, Thai and Chinese dishes. Restaurant cosy, service friendly and prompt. Food good too.

Best Panang ever

It was with some trepidation we embarked on a meal at King Tiger post covid!!! The restaurant was quiet and with us supposed to be cycling through Thailand, decided to order the Panang Curry. We consider ourselves fairly well versed in the flavours of Asia...and this would have to be one of the best curries we've had. Other dishes were also served to a high standard. Location was great and staff very friendly.More

A surprising hidden gem.

this place, the food, the ambiance and the cocktails took us by surprise. it was affordable and had an exotic feel that took you away from Franz Josef all the way to Asia. The severs were very attentive and were happy to do things to...make he customer happy, even extending the happy hour by a few minutes to let us squeeze in another order of 2 for 20 cocktails.More

Amazing food. Good value

We were very impressed by this restaurant. We had been recommended it by our accommodation hosts. Big choice on the menu of Thai, Indian, and Chinese (I think). We had 2 entrees (costed chicken and curry puffs) and shared a main (Penang Curry). We were...pretty hungry but just managed finish our meal as they are generous serving sizes. Everything was delish! The staff were friendly and they were steady with eat in and takeaway on a Friday night. The decor atmosphere is extremely cool. Loved our experience here. We will return.More

Good but pricey

We had dinner here last week and it was very tasty. The Thai food was a good sized serving. The Indian food not as much. The food is really enjoyable but I did find it expensive. The staff were very friendly.

Fantastically delicious!!!

On a rainy night in Franz Josef and with two kiddos in tow, we opted to dine nearest to our motel. The motel manager said she would be dining next door at King Tiger, so we figured we would as well. Thank goodness we did...- the service was awesome, food delicious and vibe energetic yet intimate. Vast selection of Eastern cuisines - everything from Indian to Thai to Chinese! The curry was spot on and the Indian dish my wife got was fantastic as well. Highly recommend!!!More
