Gorgeous restaurant . Understated but beautifully thought out. Wonderful to see it busy. Star of the show was Irene. Friendly, professional and onto it.
We shared the whitebait fritter which was generous and tasty. And had seafood chowder and beef cheeks. The beef cheeks were...melt in the mouth, the peas not so. Overcooked hard bullets. Seafood chowder was just ok to be honest. I was expecting something more rustic, lovely chunks of fish but it was a bit “sliced and diced”. Loved the story of Alice.More
