The restaurant is wheelchair friendly in that the entrance is flat until you enter the establishment and see that the dining area is up some stairs. However, they have installed a metal ramp so wheelchairs can gain access albeit it was very steep. I don’t...know how a power chair would do on it or even a scooter because it is so steep and so close to the door of the entrance. The restaurant's parking lot is off of Caskie Street and it does have handicap spots with grids. As for the handicap women’s restroom stall, it is more long than wide, so scooters and power chairs might find it difficult. The seating is a combination of booths and tables with movable chairs and the aisles were wide enough for a wheelchair to pass without asking people to move. The wait staff will bring the traditional basket of tortilla chips with two types of sauce; red salsa and ranch dressing. The ranch dressing was surprising and something I had not experienced before at a Mexican restaurant. The meals we ordered were average in that the red sauce on the enchilada and tamale were bland and lacking in spices. The taco and tostada were crunchy but again the contents were just okay in that they didn’t have any special salsa or toppings; just lettuce and cheese. I was curious about the Menudo on the menu but they did not allow just a cup and so I will return to try it out another time.More

This is a pretty typical local Mexican restaurant. The food was reasonably priced, service was quick and the taste was good. If you are looking for a reliable Mexican dinner this is a good spot.

We popped in for lunch on a Sunday. All found their meals acceptable. I liked the white sauce for the tortilla chips in addition to salsa.

I’m a lover of white sauce and not many Mexican restaurants put it on the table. We always have the white sauce, salsa & queso dip on the table. I love their fajitas and the carnitas tali Tisa is excellent. Nice portions, excellent prices and...good service. I love this little hide away.More

My wife & I took advantage of a discount coupon last night. Nice interior, well-attired servers, nice breadth of choices on the menu, good service & good food. However, without the discount, we felt the prices for food were a little high compared to other...Mexican restaurants in the greater RVA area, which may not have the same ambience, but we are not interested in paying for ambience other than cleanliness.More

We had lunch here. It's a big place, I guess fairly new. It's easy to find, at the corner of Staple Mills Rd (Hwy 33) and Highway 250 (Broad St). There is plenty of parking, and the traffic light there makes for easy in and...out. The restaurant is nicely decorated, they've even painted the usually ugly ceiling tiles so they look nice. Service is friendly and quick. They came with some sort of ranch dip along with the chips, as well as the usual salsa. The salsa would be the only thing I would complain about, it didn't have a lot of flavor. My husband and I each ordered the chori-pollo, him the dinner size and me the lunch portion. They both seemed to be about the same size. Both were very good. The refried beans that came with the meal were served in a little bowl made from a fried tortilla, kind of a fun idea which shows they try to make things nice. They had a nice bar area too. Definitely a place I would reccomend for those who like good Mexican food.More

Food was very average. Quesadilla was tough and stale. Sauces were bland. Tortilla chips were stale. Would not go back again! Service was excellent. Decor was nice.

Good food. Service was extremely slow for the first time since we have been coming here. Usually very good. Chairs were comfortable. Good chops and salsa.

We had heard about Amigo's but we always tend to eat at the same Mexican restaurants. Well a coupon ended up in my hands and thought we would give it a try, and we are glad we did. Service and food was great and the...prices very reasonable. I usually get Nacho Fajitas at these restaurants so I wondered how theirs was. I was not disappointed. Steak strips were flavorful and tender. The vegetables cooked with just the right amount of crunch left. We will go back.More

With a group of 6 we were placed in a large corner booth, right by a mirror and a spot light. Felt like interrogation time. Three of us started with beers. One bottled, two drafts. All warm. Glasses were cold, but that was of little...value. Waiter was either hearing impaired or had a limited grasp of English as the ordering process was tedious. Food arrived on the standard super hot plates, but was disappointing and bland. My chile relleno part crunchy from being undercooked. One of our party ordered a dinner salad. It arrived with no dressing. When we finally got the waiter to attend to us again (which took a while), we asked for some dressing. Answer. 'There isn't any..'??More
