We were looking for a breakfast place early Saturday morning. We arrived right when it opened so we got a nice table by the window. Our waitress was very nice and took our order. I asked for recommendations on the French toast. She said it...was a favorite and very good. I ordered the French toast and my wife ordered an omelet. Both were really good and hit the spot. Great taste. So, good food. Food service. Nice view. Clean restaurant. What else could you ask for. I recommend this place.More

I had breakfast here twice (granola parfait and bagel). Fairly routine, but the fresh fruit in the parfait was scrumptious. I also had dinner one night. Salmon over rice and it was delicious.

Breakfasts were amazing. Their lobster omelet was the best we have ever had as was the avocado toast. Service was quick and efficient. We only ate dinner one time and we would give it a 3 star. The food was overly salty and the Calamari...was all breading.More

Came here for my birthday dinner and as usual receive so much love from this team. Everyone from servers to bartenders to the chef is welcoming. The restaurant is rarely full these days due to COVID, but that is just another reason we love dining...here. They have a variety of table styles from booths to high tops. You can make reservations until 8pm on Open Table. The bar is well stocked with local and speciality liquors. The restaurant is doing a Italian pop-up/takeover currently and so you'll see different types of Negronis on the menu. The cocktails change seasonally, so do come back for different recipes. The dishes are always simple, yet beautiful and delicious. Chef Baz is incredibly talented and is always kind enough to create or modify a dish to make it vegan. The pasta and vegetables are so fresh. Don't miss the soup (whatever it is on the menu). It's my favorite thing to order whether it's mushroom or minestrone. It's often plant based or easily modified. Don't miss a stop here. It's our quiet Cambridge go-to.More

I work nearby and have come here a number of times for lunch, they have an excellent selection and it is a nice option for a sit down lunch. Good salads and sandwiches, rarely too busy.

Had a team dinner here for a group of about 30. We had a prix fix menu with a good selection of dishes. I had a classic Caesar salad to start. It was a good portion and tasty. For dinner I selected the Ribeye steak,...overall it was good but slightly over cooked more medium then medium rare as I wanted. Desert we each received a tasting dish of cream brûlée and flourless chocolate cake. Both were ok. Atmosphere was great, food good to average. For a group dinner in Cambridge it was a good location.More

Nicely laid out restaurant attached to the Marlowe Hotel. we went for lunch/brunch before visiting the Museum of science for the dog exhibit. The presented menu was not what was represented online. My wife and I both chose a scrambled egg taco with Chorizo, and...I ordered the banana bread as an appetizer. We both ordered coffee to drink. The coffee did not come for 20 minutes and the banana bread was served with the tacos. They seem to be clueless about how to get food from the kitchen to the diners. The predominant taste of the taco was the taco shell. The Spanish rice and black beans side that went with it was good but nothing special. This was a significant disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant as it does not appear to be currently meeting its publicized menus and previous level of professionalism.More

We had a company dinner there for 30+ individuals. Jasmin from the restaurant was extremely easy to work with, and accommodated our fairly last minute request. We had a great semi-private space, the service was fantastic and food was very good. The dinner ended up...being exactly what we were looking for. Thank you!More

Had drinks and dinner at the bar and had just stellar service from Alex the bartender. His expertise in cocktails coupled with his genuine kindness and positivity made for a really special experience. While my husband and I live and work in the area we...hadn’t been regulars at Bambara/Marlowe, but after tonight’s wonderful service we will be. Also the food was great and the sitting at the bar with the kitchen action in view is a cool treat for gourmands.More

We had brunch, what an awesome menu and the wait staff was terrific! We looked at the wine list, yes, at brunch...to see if we would desire to return for dinner...which we actually made a reservation BEFORE WE DEPARTED THE 'BRUNCH TABLE'! Dinner was as...awesome as brunch...met our every expectation. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We just wanted to try it all! We departed to a show and then after the show we returned to have a night cap. The interesting part of our visits; we were NOT staying at the hotel, we were down the street. Well worth the visit, check it out yourself! Happy HolidaysMore

You often do not expect much at a hotel restaurant, but Bambara check all the boxes and delivers excellent food at prices well below most find Cambridge restaurants. We ate breakfast here two days in a row and had a fantastic dinner. However, the ambiance...does not change, and that is the one draw back. many boots and the lack of tablecloths do not give you a fine dining experience. I like octopus, and their Confit Octopus was one of the very best dishes I have tried. Octopus can be tough if not handled properly. Bambara's version was actually fork tender (yes!). Another outstanding dish was the lamb ragu on cavatelli pasta.More

This is my first time at the restaurant. Previous visits were bar only. Exceptional bar with a very nice section of some unusual and high end liquor. I did have a nice cocktail with a nice ice ball. However this time I had something to...eat. The server gave me lots of options. I chose a lobster roll without the roll and some big beans. They also had a nice dessert. All in all I really enjoyed the selection of gluten free options. I had what I would consider a foodie experience, which is not normally what I find when needing to order gluten free.More
