Food was okay but expensive for what we got, waitress was great though, very helpful. Biscuits were flat and over cooked and I had to ask for butter.

Cafe Luna was recommended to us by our hotel when we arrived in town. There were no available tables for breakfast and we did not know that we needed reservations, so we asked the host if we could order the food to go. The host...obliged and took our order. We paid with a credit card that has a chip and signed the receipt on an electronic tablet. Our food came and it was everything that the hotel told us it would be—tasty, rich, and delicious. The problem came when we were putting the food bag into the recycling that evening and noticed the receipt inside of the bag. Well, the host added a 20% tip to our bill without informing us. This is very unethical. The food is wonderful, but this situation made us weary to return during our stay. We will not be back.More

This little café in Cambridge is worth every minute of waiting for a table. My family arrived at Café Luna around 11:15 on a Saturday morning with no reservation (which I recommend getting if you can). We were told the wait would be about 45...minutes. After about 50 minutes we checked in to see how much longer it would be. The gentleman who was seating people stated that he was hoping we would have been seated already but that it may be another 10 minutes. He then came outside multiple times to keep us updated on our wait time. He was very personable and you could tell he genuinely appreciated us waiting a little extra. After about an hour and 10 minutes we were finally seated inside. Once at our table, the service was quick, efficient and courteous, even though the place was still packed with customers. We ordered the raspberry churro French toast, the Mexican Churro French toast, French toast with berries, the corn beef hash and the chicken hash plate along with some eggs and all of it was absolutely delicious. Every person in our party was super happy with their food! It was served in a timely fashion as well. I would highly recommend Café Luna if you are in the Boston area. Although it is a small place, so the wait may be long, the food and service were fantastic! If we are back in the area again, we will certainly be back!More

Fantastic Brunch. Creatively prepared, filling, excellent flavor, free street parking available on weekends. Friendly staff. We waited an hour for a table and it was well worth the wait. It's somewhat noisy, but still 5 stars

I picked up visiting family from the airport as they caught a red-eye from Seattle and were hungry. Not knowing what time Cafe Luna opened, we arrived at 8:40am and had a twenty minute wait as they did not open til 9:00am. No problem; we...sat in the car parked directly in front of Cafe Luna. Hmm, folks started lining up at the door and it was time to get in line. OMG! The food is so so good. I had the waffles with fresh fruit; the gentleman had “Everything but the kitchen sink”. He raved about the dish and ate every last bit (which was enormous); his wife also had the waffles and we kept saying “Oh my goodness.” The service was superb and they plan to return before going back to Seattle. As for me, you can be sure, I’ll also be back with hubby, daughter and son-in-law.More

Food and service were both superior. Balance that against a small cafe that aims to turn tables over frequently and the noise level through the roof and you have Cafe Luna. If you want to linger and savor find another weekend experience. If you want...to snarf down really great food with friends and move on, Cafe Luna fits the bill.More

Had a wonderful brunch while visiting good friends in Boston. Matt and his wife Terry are the owners and Terry is the chef. No dish leaves the kitchen unless it is meticulously cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. I has the lemon ricotta pancakes, my...friends the crab and avocado omelette and quinoa bowl. Delicious. A word of advise, don’t try and alter Terry’s signature dishes unless you have a very good reason (as I learned). She was right and I was wrong. That’s how you know you are in a special place. Shout out to the lovely Ms. Arielle and Megan our server. Thank you! Lisa/NYCMore

Over 1400 reviews with an average of 4 star speaks for itself. But I will still share our experience. The food wasn't too greasy or too drenched in sauces or oil and felt like someone literally made it on their home kitchen. And in-spite of...having all the tasty dishes, we weren't uncomfortably full :-) Matt was great. Since the kitchen was swamped, the food took longer than it should have. But Matt came by our table to see if we needed anything in the meantime. We ended up chatting with him for a good few minutes and had some lovely conversations. It is these gestures that makes you feel like the host cares. Laura was our server and she has been one of the best we have encountered in so long. Since the place so busy, the outdoor dining was extended all the was to the end of the block; but between all the walking and busy tables, Laura had a permanent smile on her face. And even though we were seated towards the very end of the long outdoor seating, we never felt like we were forgotten. Matt and Laura made sure to check on us. Laura made sure we had everything we wanted and still left us alone when we wanted to stuff our faces with the amazing food :) Our favorites are: Omelette with grilled corn and Mexican Churro French Toast layered with Dulce de Leche. For latte, you have to have their Cardamom and Coconut infused Latte, which is sooooo good that we had to go for another cup and we have even started making it at home, although our's is not as good as their's. Highly recommend this restaurant !!!!!More

So good, we looked up a few internet lists for brunch by Cambridge and Cafe Luna kept popping up so we took an Uber over from.our hotel on a cold, wet Sunday morning and got there. Walked in and asked the guy at the front...who we presumed was the owner if he was taking walk ins and he said yes. The place was packed with many waiting outside so we thought we were screwed. He said honestly that the wait could be 45 mins but that he had three tables of 4 ahead of us who hadn't shown yet so it could be much faster. So we said OK and waited outside in the rain along with many others. He was so friendly and kept coming outside to give status updates which was very appreciated. He also offered up free coffee to everyone waiting outside which we took him up on. We finally got called and it was definitely less than 45 minutes. We got a table in the back and the place was still rockin and rollin. We checked our menus out (we were already doing that outside) and our server was very nice and friendly. She got our drinks and I got a Manhattan and my gf got a Bloody Mary and Cliff got an iced tea. The server made some suggestions and we went with some - ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes to share and my gf got a biscuit on the side. Cliff got the steak and lobster benny, I got the lobster benny, my gf got the corn tacos, and his wife got the chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious. Portions are good sized. Cliff and I killed our food. My gf was only able to eat one taco since she had some pancakes, the biscuit and a side of bacon. Cliff's wife left one waffle and a few wings which he dutifully finished at the hotel later. The service was so good despite it being so busy. The food, again, was delicious. In the way out, we said goodbye to the guy we presumed was the owner and he said thanks for coming - what a great proprietor. We could see went so many people rave about the place and why all the lists of "Brunch in Cambridge" see Cafe Luna's name pop up so much. We would definitely come back.More

When I'm craving gourmet brunch, Cafe Luna always comes to mind. So, so many options: • bennies (lobster, duck, crab, pulled chicken), • omelets, salads, tacos • waffles, pancakes, french toast • for vegetarian or meat lovers • mexican flavors, irish staples • savory or...sweet • diet-conscious or indulgent appetites • barista coffee and fresh squeezed juice bar also great... there is something for everyone! And best of all, everything is fresh, made with quality ingredients, packed with layers of flavor, and portions are substantial. And the service: attentive, knowledgeable... we even got to meet the owner, who greeted us upon arriving and stopped by the table to ask about our dining experience. Personable and charming man. Before covid, phone reservations (about 30 min prior) were highly recommended. After covid, I would probably order to go, and picnic by Memorial Drive/Charles River or Harvard U lawn. Can't wait to visit again.More

They have fantastic options for brunch. It was pretty busy when we went on the weekend, so we had to sit outside. I would definitely recommend waiting for an indoor table. I can't wait to come back, but I wouldn't sit outside again.

My friend and I went for brunch based on the reviews. Made a reservation and were promptly seated (although the hostess seemed to be a bit overworked). The place was busy and obviously quite popular. We ordered the food per our waiter's suggestions. I was...fairly happy with my choice, but my friend was not overly impressed. As soon as we finished (or even before that) we were presented with a check. I ordered coffee and some biscuits, instead, I got 2 coffees and the biscuits never came. Overall the impression was that they didn't have enough stuff to work efficiently and the whole experience felt a bit off. Our server, however, was professional and apologized for the confusion and subpar service. I'll give it another try in a few weeks...More
