I was looking forward to dining out after the capacity restrictions were eased and made the mistake of choosing this place. Unless you are going to have a huge liquor tab, don't expect much in the way of service. We were completely ignored by our...waitress after the table next to us ordered a $1,000 bottle of wine, She rushed to get us to leave bringing the check without even asking if we wanted dessert, probably keen to turn the table in hopes of selling another bottle. The lobster risotto was awful, tasted as if it had been drenched in sherry. I went to pay the check and thought it was a bit high but just paid it along with a large tip (which presumably is shared with the hard working bus people). When I checked the online menu turns out I had been overcharged 40% AND they had double authorized my card. Check your bill very carefully at this place and make sure they only charge you once!More

We had an amazing happy hour dinner at Barolo. It is a fantastic bargain, providing 50% off of the Bar Menu. This isn’t any bar menu. We dined on Grilled Caesar Salad, a Prosciutto plate, Pasta Carbonara, and a bowl of Rigatoni in a beef...and veal ragu. The food was delicious, maybe the best pasta we tasted in Seattle, and portions were huge. Service was Euro elegante, as our server Marcin was urbane and sophisticated, understanding both wine and cooking. Barolo was a big city experience, deserving of accolades. Unfortunately, restaurant critics in Seattle favor the overly casual restaurants, where utensils are sticks, tables are bare, and the sound track indy homogeneous. Food is almost secondary to the scene. Barolo is the exception, elegant, classy, and with a kitchen that respects the classics. Great food does not need to be reconstructed. Barolo is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. With the happy hour deal, it is now accessible to anyone. Please go, enjoy, and see why a touch of class really isn’t pretentious. In today’s vituperative world, we all could use a little bit of class.More

Went here for happy hour and it was packed. The ambiance is dark but not romantic coz its loud. Having traveled all over Italy, I appreciate a good Italian meal. I find the food here just a tad bit Salty and salty. Its good but...no need to go crazy on the salt. Italian dishes dont really need a lot of it if done right. The service is just OK just like the rest of the aspects of this place. I would only consider going here for happy hour prices but not willing to pay full price. I prefer the Italian restaurant across the street.. Cinque TerreMore

We live in Vancouver Canada and will plan a night in Seattle once a year specifically to go to Barolo. We love the Amarone Tedeschi which we have a hard time getting at home and my husband loves the lamb with the cherry reduction. I...lose my mind for the bread pudding. Please never retire or sell the restaurant to anyone else!More

Just to make it clear from the start , this place deserves 4 stars but I can’t give it the rating it deserves. We made an early booking for New Year’s Eve and were happy to go. From entering the place we were met (I...use the term “met” not greeted) by a staff member who didn’t know what a smile was nor how to say more than 1 word sentences. We felt embarrassed that we asked to check our coats. We were then approached by the maître d who was obviously annoyed that we entered the restaurant at all and had to take us to our table. No words were spoken just his sour attitude permeated in the atmosphere. After being seated the night and experience went from bad to great. The wait staff were good and the food was great. The speed of the meals was maybe a bit quick but it was New Year’s Eve At the end of a great meal and atmosphere we were not pressured into leaving but thought we should leave the table so they could turn it over again. On leaving we were met by the same 2 maître d’s their terrible attitude still simmering. This is the reason I gave them 3 stars not 4. Being from Australia we have been impressed by Seattle’s friendly people everywhere we have been. It’s not fair to give the whole place a bad review except why would you put “non-people person” staff to greet customers.More

Manhattan has so many restaurants to choose, and the great thing is I love to follow my Trip Advisor for ratings. Never a disappointment. Anyhow, this restaurant around the corner from our hotel was great. The Maitre-D was exceptional, and I had one of the...best veal parmigiana. The rest of my group also loved what they ordered. Will definitely go back.More

I don't remember seeing gluten free pasta on the menu but of course meat items should work fine for you. I second everyone suggesting you contact the restaurant directly. They are very accommodating and probably could make... More
