Our "take-out" style shop specializes in poke bowls and plates, featuring a variety of locally caught ahi tuna. Our poke is always fresh, never frozen...guaranteed! We also serve shrimp, tako and taegu poke. For those in your ohana who do not eat fish we serve traditional lau lau and kalua pulled pork. We even do a vegetarian poke bowl and offer gluten free options! In addition, all poke bowls and plates are served with locally inspired side dishes and rice. Unfortunately, we have limited outdoor seating, but you are welcome to stay and eat at our shared tables if they are available. Our shop opens at 10am, and we highly recommend coming early as our poke tends to sell out daily. Most days,

We found out about this place from a local that we met. Apparently, he is a fisherman and he supplies the yellow fins, TunA, ahi he catches while fishing and delivers at The Poke Shack. He attested that the fish in this place is always fresh...which is the truth as we found out. The poke menu are substantial, delicious and fresh. The price is moderately expensive. They only allow 4 people inside to order. This is a take out poke place. The wait is not too long but there were like 8 people before us. Everyone is using masks while inside. The place also looks clean. This place is like 2 miles from our hotel so we had to drove to get to the shack. Its farther from the city center.More

As always best poke in Kona! Prices have risen since pre-covid but still worth every penny. We tried every flavor they had and loved them all.

The line was long, but worth it. They expect you to know what you want when you enter to place your order and everything is scooped up immediately, then you go out the door. I tried poke at several places and wanted something a little...more adventurous from their very wide selection options. It was filling and satisfying, so I would go back.More

Look the other reviewers are right: you're going to have to wait in line, there's limited parking and limited seating. But, none of it matters I parked far away, I waited in line and I shared a picnic table with strangers and it was all...worth it because their fish is so good. Everything is fresh and delicious and they sell a selection of local beers. Absolutely visit this place.More

The poke was good, had a great variety of preparations to choose from, and the sides were good. However, we went at prime dining hours (I.e. lunch time), and the wait to get in was 1 hour. Seating and parking are limited, so if you...are with a larger group, take these into consideration. Best to arrive early, because they will run out eventually. I found the food was worth the wait and effort.More

Def worth the wait! I went on a Monday and they had closed early due to sell out. omg. Went back on Tuesday at opening to be sure I could get a poke bowl before leaving the island. Attentive service. Food is delicious and flavorful.

Loved the poke tried 4 different types liked the house special and Pele's kiss the best. Rice was tasty with furikake and wild rice side was great too. We tried other poke places and enjoyed the poke shack the best. Nice staff too. You know...its fresh when a huge tuna was delivered by a fisherman making us all ooh and awe.More

The poke isn’t bad it just wasn’t any better than the other poke I had on the island. You’ll need to sell your firstborn child in order to afford it. Your other children will most likely have died from starvation while waiting in the massive...line so actually it’s not too expensive because you’ll only be ordering for one. Best bet is to get there at 10 when they open.More

Delicious poke. Not cheap but worth it. We tried all the flavors between the four of us and loved them all. Bowls come with 1 side and 2 poke and rice. Plates have 2 sides, 4 poke and rice.

three of us got the poke bowl for $13.50 each, and one of us splurged and got the poke plate for $23.50. This was take-out so you might consider it expensive but it was good which is what counts. Hawaii is not a cheap... More
