Being from the Uk and spending Christmas in the tropics, we thought Christmas dinner should be something different, so we booked Asian Spice. We weren’t disappointed. As it was busy our table wasn’t quite ready, so we had a few cocktails whilst waiting (very reasonably priced).
Anyway, we decided on Shushi to start( decent), then we both opted for lobster. We weren’t disappointed. You can tell it’s fresh, as there’s no fishy smell to it, and it was cooked perfectly, slightly translucent as it should be. The spices that came with it were delicate enough, they didn’t overpower the taste.
So with three cocktails each, two beers each and a bottle of wine, it came to 1,600,000 idr £75/$150.
Well worth it.
They do do regular food ie; steak and burgers and so on, so it doesn’t have to be this expensive.

The most amazing service, staff and food. The Asian Spice Restaurant is truly amazing. The staff are sensational, friendly and just amazing. The service is exceptional and the food was absolutely divine. The interior design of the restaurant is just gorgeous along with the beautiful greenery and waterfall out the back. The food is fresh, cooked beautifully and they serve the most delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. (You must try the granola smoothies, french toast, pancakes, nasi goreng, sushi, ice lattes and the freshly squeezed juices they are the best I have ever had!!!) The menu has a variety of food and all looks fantastic and colourful. The portion sizes are great and there is live music in the evening (Great entertainment) The restaurant is absolutely spotless. Everyone from the waitress/waiters to the bar staff were absolutely lovely and always smiling and so polite and nothing was ever a problem. Special thanks to Wayan and Richard and the beautiful Desi, Anggy, Ratih, Dillan, Desy, Diah, Nina, Jenny, Eric and Wanda for their warm hospitality, you truly made our dinning each day so enjoyable. I love the Asian Spice Restaurant so much and I look forward to returning. This is my No1 restaurant in Bali. ❤️

We have been coming here for 3 years now, when we travel to Bali. And it gets better every time. Amazing Food, the presentation of the food, the staff are so helpful, the layout and design is incredible a photographer's dream location. Restrooms are second to none with complementary mouth wash, It was very busy last night, but the service was still good. This would have to be the best high end Asian Restraunt in Legian, if not Bali. I said to our friends last night, I think it has over taken the 2 big gun Legian Restraunts ( will not name them). They offered us umbrellas to walk back to our hotel with, and return them the next day. We will be back in a few days time, to try other foods from there menu

Felt that the menu was a little limited for my taste. Was annoyed that despite it being special deal buy 2 get 1 free on cocktails this was not applied to our bill despite us buying quite a few at one time. I had mentioned this to waitress too before she prepared bill. By the time I discovered this my husband had paid the very expensive bill. The nasi goreng I am told was lovely as was my chicken and mushroom.The satay for one of the children according to them,as they ate this every night wherever we went,lol, was not as nice as in other restaurants,so was wasted for the first time. Other family members said their meals were alright but not delicious. We ate out every night and this was by far the most expensive meal,not helped by overcharging for cocktails I am sure, but also the only night we really did not enthuse over our meal. Waitress was very nice but as I say I was not pleased that despite my pointing out we qualified for some free cocktails discount was not applied,so she disappointed me. Really this stops customers from returning as we were recommended to here but could not do the same to others, so it is not a good idea,even if it helps at the time with restaurant profits. Was a nice atmosphere and decor too was nice,close to our hotel and in the midst of local buzz to watch.

Lovely looking , good sized restaurant. There was live music playing and they were fantastic.
Lots of menu choices and variety of Asian, Indonesian and Indian dishes.
The spruiker out the front said lots of vegetarian options but there were only two.
Cocktails were lovely, I tried one from the old fashioned section. $12aud each but could actually taste the alcohol, as opposed to the Balimoon spirits that seem to have no alcohol in them. No specials on drink prices though.
Nasi Ayam was enjoyed by our son, hubby loved his Balinese half chicken dish. I ended up having a prawn Nasi which did taste a bit off. Maybe not fresh prawns.
Lovely main staff but there seems to be a lot of trainee’s who don’t understand what you ask for, and have to get another main waiter.
Asked a few times for drinks, serviettes, chilli etc.
Not a big deal but with so many local options you have to be able to compete.
We did enjoy ourselves but probably won’t return.

So came here with my mate and the service is 100%. Staff are so friendly and happy to have a chat. The food is another level. We started with Gyoza this was fresh and you could tell it was made that day by the taste and look of it. We had crispy pork belly wasabi again the food tasted fresh and the very crispy not salty. Then we finished with Beijing duck. Now coming from Melbourne in Australia I have had a lot of Beijing duck and this was amazing the flavour and taste with the plum and hoysin sauce. They also give birthday cake and sing to you with a 2 man band.The manager Anni and supervisor Desi and rest of the staff will look after you and make you feel at home. Even the toilets are clean and the art work in them make you feel like your in old bali.

This restaurant had great food, ambience and service. The manager Megha was a lovely lady who shared her knowledge of local Balinese food and tips on what to order. We had Balinese food and it was delicious. There is a band most nights too and the cosy, casual and romantic ambience is ideal for couples and families.

My wife, myself and our son recently stayed at the Rama Residence Padma Hotel for 10 days and had breakfast at the Asian Spice Restaurant every morning and also had several lunches and many of our dinners there as well. The food was always very good and the variety in the menu was impressive. We loved sitting and observing the activity on the road while lingering over a second latte in the morning. The lovely manager, Ani, always look time to chat with us, as did the rest of the fantastic staff. We can’t wait to return.

My favorite restaurant in Bali! Jenny and Dwi are amazing. We are from Sydney and ordered the duck, it was the best we’ve ever had, we get it every time we come to Bali and it’s always well prepared and cooked perfectly. Intimate atmosphere with a live band at night and wonderful service. Highly recommend this restaurant😄 ps: you have to try their spring rolls!

Had breakfast here everyday this week. The food is amazing, the poached eggs are cooked perfectly to your liking. And the rest is so tasty. Dinner is also amazing, we had the nasi goreng with pork belly, melt in your mouth delicious, the best ever-after eating it most nights over 4 trips to Bali, the Kung pao chicken was great, and the beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. Service is always on point with so much smiling and graciousness, attentiveness and always getting it right. The staff are just beautiful.

For me it's the best restaurant in town. They have a very special local menu called Sate Nusantara. Once you order it, not only had the stunning food, also had a special performance by their staff right in front of your table. Ibu Ani as the manager and all the staff would gladly serve you with lovely smile. Highly recommended. Keep it up 👍👍👍

We received a very warm welcome at Asian Spice by a lovely hostess Any who made us feel special for the whole time of our stay. This cosy place was an excellent choice for Christmas drinks and amazing food. We loved the Pork belly, Samsam giking, pork ribs and PadtThai plus there is free flow cocktails 4-6pm only for 200.000,-/person. very dangerous😂

Great food, great atmosphere, excellent staff! Extensive menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a mix of eastern and western dishes - even for my exceptionally fussy mother. We ate here as a family four times during our stay and every meal was delicious. Great coffee too! Good value and exceptionally friendly staff. Great location between the beach and shopping on Jl Padma.

Nice staff and setting.
The inside decor is pretty cool and the live band added a bit of atmosphere. I was a bit skeptical about the reviews listed here - many seem to be bogus or bots. Service was good but food average. One Chinese dish while a tasty sauce only had four tiny bits of chicken. Pepper beef was tough but the sauce tasty. Best dish from the group was the Nasi goreng.
Would I go back again? Probably not as there are so many other eateries in the area to try.
