When there's a line outside a restaurant on a cold weeknight, that's a sign that some great food is up ahead. The line was moving at a swift pace, so It wasn't long until I was ordering Tacos and Horchata.
As you quickly receive your order from the cooks, you use the tall tables for you to place your food and drinks. Standing is the only way to eat inside, which is totally fine since it wasn't long that I finished my food.
I'm happy to say that the tacos tasted authentic! From the Carne Asada having a fresh, smokey flavor, to the tortillas nicely fluffed and hot! The salsas (which you self-serve) enhanced the taste even more!
If you're a fan of savory tacos, this is worth the visit and experience!

So busy and hectic, menu quite confusing and we felt very rushed when ordering at the counter. We tried to enquire about the types of tacos as we wanted crispy taco’s that the lady behind the counter said ok but when they were ready, they were soft tortilla wraps. We honestly weren’t sure what we ordered but they both tasted amazing. Good for a quick bite on the go but not filling at all so you would need a few if looking for a substantial meal. I really enjoyed the food as it had loads of flavor but was disappointed that there was no seating and that we felt very rushed. I understand they want to get the queue down but need to take a bit more time listening to their customers and what they are after. Based on the taco’s alone I would go back if I am ever in NY again but think I would have to work out the menu and decide what I want prior to going so there is no confusion.

I headed here for lunch immediately after arriving in NYC. There can sometimes be a line outside, but this day there wasn’t. It was crowded inside though! Warning: there is no seating - there are counter-high tables to eat at while standing. Scoot in close and make taco loving friends! I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and chips & guacamole. It was all so flavorful and the price was great for lunch in a very expensive city. I’ll be back here for sure!

We wanted a quick bite before going to the theater. We were worried about the line but it moved quick! They have this down to a science! The food was VERY good! I got the chicken taco on a corn tortilla. My only regret...not getting two! I did have the guacamole too, and that was fantastic!
The only thing that lost a point from me was the lack of seating. You eat standing up and, well, some people were just not polite and let you have a space to eat. It was too push-shove in there for my liking. Definitely not relaxing.

Lost in a small shop on 43rd is a wonderful taco place with the feel of a street cart. Outstanding taco with some serious heat! The place is very busy and as with everything in NYC the line moves FAST so be ready with you get to the front of the line! After ordering you move down the prep line to people actually putting together your order on the line. They ask you again, chicken or steak, or what ever and corn or flour and if you want guac, onions, cilantro, and salsa. (I swear I thought I went over that when we ordered at the cashier but you have to tell the guy on the line that again). It was a bit overwhelming especially with the language barrier but the food could not be fresher or more tasty. On the smaller side so if your hungry better order 2.

We visited this location of Los tacos no. 1 while wandering in the evening around times Square. There is a decent choice of food items and some cool drinks as well, so we tried a bunch of them. The food, as in the other locations we have been to, was simply amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Pity though that there was a huge fan blowing air straight onto our necks, and that made eating in an already crowded shop unpleasant. We ate very quickly and left. If you plan a visit, try to go in off-peak hours to enjoy your experience to the fullest.

My husband heard about this place from a co-worker that insisted we try this place. Wow, what a great experience!!! Best taco’s my family and I have ever had. I tried a chicken & beef taco. We’ve traveled to Mexico but these taco’s were even better. The place was packed but it was a very well run, clean fast food establishment that provided great service. All employees were extremely patient and polite while they answered my daughters questions about the food. My family and I were very impressed. If you’re in the area, Los Tacos is worth a visit. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Los Tacos for a lunch I won’t ever forget! If I ever get back to NYC, I will definitely return. 😃

They were so busy that we waited outside in a line for a while to get in. Loud music inside, no chairs to sit so you have to eat standing next to the table or takeaway. We chose pork, beef and chicken ( a bit dry ) tacos and special quesadilla. Our favorite ones were pork and beef. Service was friendly and fast.

Wow, they make some very good tacos! The service is quick but the line up fluctuates depending on the time of day. The tacos are small, a minimum of two are required. Although the menu is limited, there is a good choice. Highly recommended!

We heard about this taco palce on Youtube, back in PuertoRico and we were like, next trip we visit Los Tacos #1, finally back in NYC. So we visit yesterday for lunch, we had chicken, asada, adobada and nopal tacos with everything, WOW this tacos will change your life and change the way you used to look at tacos, Noe's team is amazing, they make everything from scratch, from the hand made tortillas bubbling in front of your eyes, the chicken and asada on the charbroil to the huge trompo for the adobada(al pastor) tacos, we also had a horchata and agua de jamaica freshly made. If you are in NYC you have to visit Los Tacos #1, they are a destination 🌮🌮🌮, and fortunately they have 4 location around town, thanks to Noe that rounded up his team for a picture. Service is superb and also the cleanliness spotless. We will be back everyday we are in town, Noe you and your team get my 5⭐.

I’ve been eating here for years and have always had great food and a great experience, but thought it required a special mention because of how good it was just a few days ago. On Saturday I stopped in during a very busy lunch service and when I saw the line out the door I thought “this is going to take forever”, but no. The line moves fast and I had just been handed my ticket at the counter when one of the guys who makes the tacos was waving to me to signal he was ready. I think I was out of there in 5-10 minutes. Their operation is an incredibly well oiled machine that I wish more places could learn from. I also read just recently that they even make their own masa for the tortillas, which is amazing. I knew they made the tortillas in house, you can see them making them behind the counter, but to even make their own masa is next level. May this place always exist and always be this great.

We went here right after Christmas and the line was long going outside the place, but it went by pretty fast. It was definitely worth it though I just wish the place had a bigger eating area. There is no seating with standing room only so most try and eat quicker than normal to move out of the way. Great food regardless!!!

The queue is worth the wait
Arrived at 9:15 pm and the line was still long but the food was worth the 15 min wait.
Tried one each of the meaty tacos and they were all really delicious.
Hard recommend
I am going back for sure

Los Tacos may seem a little intimidating the first time you walk in - a huge crowd, everyone standing. Some ordering, some waiting, some eating. But stick with it! Pay for your meal, take your ticket, find a chef who is free and watch as they make your order to....well, order. Everything authentic, right before your eyes. This is not a sit down place - prepare to walk away with your food! But it's so good it'll be gone before you've made it to the next block, anyway.

These are indeed great tacos. For me, the carne asadas are best, and then the adobadas. The meat was super fresh, guac on top, onions cilantro and salsa. Simple and delicious. We had about 4 each. The line moves fast but it was huge, it took a while to get them, and hard to find a spot to sit (this was @ the Chelsea market location) but if you like tacos this is a must.
