An Italian fusion restaurant with one of the best Italian food and drinks. . . For some reason, I noticed that there are a lot of Italian restaurants and cafes in Boston. #3 fairbanks was my drink and I loved it. The service was very...good, we had a reservation and they were a little late and ended up giving us free drinks. I got the veal angeloti (not so sure of the spelling) but it was amazing. Make sure you get the marinated olives there. Also be sure to make a reservation the day before.More

We were a group of 5 for dinner. It was a Friday, early evening, busy but not at its peak. Very pleased with piatti appetisers and grani entrees. The CICCHETTI (like tapas) were creatively seasoned and prepared. I was really taken by the Pistachio Meringue,...and enjoyed the Crab in Saor with artichoke, raisin, dill and the Baccala on dark bread. The monkfish was served in a bowl of bigoli pasta was very tasty and fresh. We also had a generous portion of mushroom risotto mixed with ricotta, swiss chard, and chive that was delicious but too heavy on the salt. Per favore, chef...less salt, meno sale! Can you believe I had room left for a Tiramisu dessert? Decadently delicious. Others had pineapple sorbet and lemon ice...limone! The service was excellent, servers attentive and friendly. We all enjoyed our meal and ambience at SRV. Looking forward to our next meal there. Based on this experience, I highly recommend.More

Went here on recommendation but was underwhelming. Average tasting food and table not ready on time. Waited 15 mins beyond booked time but not offered anything complimentary. We were one of at least 5 parties that were made to stand and wait. The lamb gnocchi...was very good however but the conchigle was quite odd tasting. Would not go back I’m afraid.More

Exceptional experience. Our server was wonderful: friendly, informative, and enthusiastic about the restaurant. The crab risotto was especially noteworthy—perfectly prepared with many subtle flavors. Cicchetti of asparagus and stuffed pepper were delicious. Cocktails and wine were also memorable.

We were looking for a top restaurant for the final night of our holiday and we found it at SPV. We received great service throughout (thanks , Sam) and the food was consistently excellent. We chose the sharing plates menu and the presentation was exactly...right, with each plate arriving in good time, not to soon as to feel rushed, nor with any delay.More

I was in Boston for a reunion and two of us had dinner at SRV last Saturday. What a wonderful meal! The ambience was lovely, the food was amazing and the service was, quite frankly, perfect. Our server, Nate, was thoughtful, knowledgeable and genuinely interested...in the composition of our meal. When my friend couldn't decide on a wine, he brought her samples of three to try. Later in the meal, Nate brought us samples of a wine we'd discussed but not previously tried or ordered. What a joy it was to have him as our server and dine so well!More

Had a private party for a Sunday brunch and the staff could not have been more pleasant and professional. Every one of the servers went out of their way to ensure that every detail was perfect. The food and drinks were fantastic, especially the tiramisu,...fruit and waffles and eggs Benedict. A great experience for the first time trying SRV, but we will absolutely be back.More

They've figured it out here...the decor/ambiance, service, and most of all, the food. Even the bread was special. Interesting menu with small, medium and large plates, all good for sharing. Highlights were the polpette and gnocchi, and semi-freddo cannolis. Go and enjoy!

Wow - every bite was superb, and the service impeccable. Lovely lovely staff. Hostess was kind enough to squeeze us into a table when we realized we'd accidentally reserved counter seats (thought they meant bar stools, but they were center aisle counter seats that didn't...appeal) and only asked us to be done in at a certain time to accommodate an incoming reservation, and the waiter made it happen! Thank you for fitting us in - we'll definitely be back to eat even more of this delicious food. Everything was outstanding. Definitely one of Boston's top places to eat.More

Superb, classy joint. Surprisingly difficult to find a good pace to dine in Boston that doesn’t have TVs showing sports … SRV is one of the few places that aren’t silly with their prices and offer a great menu concept with small, medium and larger...dishes. You get to try loads of different things and can walk out with your dignity in-tact and not feel like a piggy. Top marks for service and great vibe. Highly recommended.More

We were in town for the weekend and this was one of our best meals in city! We originally reserved and accidentally cancelled (my fault). When I realized I messed up 15 minutes before the reservation, they were so kind and still able to squeeze...us in, which was so appreciated. We opted for the tasting menu, which for $48 a person was a steal - we would have easily paid at least $75. There were so many course and everything was delicious. Service was also amazing and personalized. Thank you for a wonderful experience!More

Beautiful brunch in the open air courtyard on Sunday. The food was delicious and the ambiance lovely. Highly recommend any of the egg dishes. Wait staff was fantastic. The environment felt very safe and welcoming. It was a short walk from Northeastern University and we...will definitely be back, especially when the front patio opens back up.More

I did not see a kid option on the menu. i would call ahead and ask if you can order plain pasta. maybe not the best choice for a 10 year old. Don't they typically want pizza or chicken fingers!?
