This is truly a spectacular gem of a trendy restaurant, while music was a little on the loud side, it was still easy to talk with my date. The waitstaff was fantastic, our server was excellent - truly cared about our experience and was very...knowledgeable about what was good and what would go well with what we chose to eat. Highly recommend!More

After going here I read the Boston Magazine review of this place and realised I hadn’t lost my mind. Great food: corn salad a highlight, shrimp light and lovely and flavours complex. The baked Alaska was immense and not cloying in its flaming rum shell....Flat service except at the table itself (with bad transition from bar to table), horrible loud music and warm white wine. Somehow it doesn’t matter that much as the food is the star and when you’re spit out into the street 90 minutes later you are happily full and happy to flee the madness. I’d love to eat there again but would need to work up the courage to go back.More

Unique atmosphere! Food was good and drinks were great. We went on a Saturday at 7:30 and the bar was over flowing and it was very loud. Food was overall pretty good and great to share. Definitely would recommend if your looking for a fun...dinner out that isn’t the same as every other restaurant.More

A hyped-up place with inattentive and rude staff. At the entrance, we were not offered to leave our things in the coat room, and we almost beat the dishes jostling with our coats at the table. While taking orders, the waiter never remembered who ordered...what, food was brought and put randomly didn't know who ordered it. The food is not bad but mediocre, portions are small and the choice is poor. During the winter period, their air conditioner blows on a cold temperature of 68 Fahrenheit, which is cold even in Florida. Upon request to turn it off or make it warmer, the waiter in an unfriendly manner said that he would convey our request to the manager. We never received an answer, and the air conditioner kept blowing on our heads as a result my friends and I caught a cold. The check was not split and when we asked to split it, the waiter said he did not remember who ordered what and could just use three cards. Excuse me? What about doing your job right or haven't they heard of quality service in Boston? In the end, the checks were split and we were even given dessert. But it didn't make up for the overall impression. The women's bathroom smells like poo, and it feels like it's not ventilated at all. In general, I do not recommend this place, except for the interior, which is beautifully presented on Instagram have nothing to do there.More

There are not enough words to describe how much I enjoyed my evening here. It was late night on the night before Halloween (Sunday) and few places were open. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Oh my! The ambiance, the...service (bartender was fabulous(, the food, the books! We spent the evening on the bar/speakeasy side and loved every moment. Can’t wait to go back. Perhaps it was the magic of All Hallows’ Eve but it falls into my top 10 favorite bars!More

Amazing restaurant in Boston with a really cool & different vibe. Its ambiance can't be matched. Drinks & food are pricey but worth it for a nice experience or a special occasion. I made a reservation for 9pm but we weren't seated until about 9:30pm......we grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting which was fine. Busy place but totally worth it.More

The staff here is pretentious and rude. Overpriced menu and drinks. Definitely not worth your time. There’s tons of great restaurants in Boston. Pass on this one.

We visited Yvonne’s for some small plates and an early drink on Saturday afternoon. The place is gorgeous. You feel like you are somewhere special. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and kind. The food!!!! So creative and perfect. We had the steak tartare toast, the...halloumi with charred eggplant (amazing) and the lobster dumplings. We sat in the lounge. Would definitely go back.More

A feat for the eyes and the stomach. Interior decor is wonderful and exciting.Someone has made a real effort to combine glamour with elegance. Dishes are just the right size for sharing - not too large, not too small. Go for the hrrimp and the...meatballs. Avoid the octopus. Cocktails are huge and powerful.More

My wife and I dined at Yvonne’s restaurant in Downtown Crossing in Boston, and consider it a real hidden gem. Many of the food choices are served on small plates, tapa-style, and each of the 8 dishes we had was better than outstanding. In particular,...the lamb ribs were served with a wonderful mole barbecue sauce that was the best barbecue sauce I’ve had ever. It was house-made and I suggested to our waitress that the restaurant should bottle and sell it commercially. And the coconut cake with vanilla lime sorbet was a wonderful top-off to a great meal. The restaurant is ideal for a romantic dinner and the service was fast. Hot dishes were in fact hot and freshly made and cold dishes were appropriately cold. Our waitress, Caroline, knew the menu and made great recommendations. Ask for her; we will when we return. And I suggest making a reservation. I call Yvonne’s a hidden gem partly because we hadn’t known of it before finding it highly rated on Trip Advisor and also because its entry way is recessed from the street and therefore may be easy to miss. However, we had a wonderful dinner after searching it out.More

Got my wallet stolen!!! Be careful! I sat at the bar, when it was time to pay, I turned around, but my bag was nowhere to be see. I started making nose, calling for a manager. The manager was nice, but she first assumed that...I left my purse in a bathroom 🤨 (I have not left the bar area). In 5 minutes, she came back with my bag, weird… she returned me my bag saying that her employees found it in a lounge. Well, they did return the purse, but with no wallet. All of my cards were stolen. The management refused to look at the video footage (which is understandable), but left extremely frustrated and had to deal with banks, DMV for the next week. Be careful when you go there!!!More

Last week during graduation week, after a long hectic reception, decided to try our luck at Yvonne's - having visited their website andread the reviews, and thus knowing full well that they were likely to be fully booked.. As we entered, the gentleman at the...entrance immediately asked us if we had a reservation. At the same time, a waitress came up to take a couple to their table, and said to the gentleman "just say no".. For some reason, the guy asked for our ID's, so we showed him our ID's... he then proceeded to tell us that they had no tables and that next time, we needed to bring our passports, as our IDs were not acceptable. I informed him that we were not comfortable galivanting around town with our passports, and he just shrugged. This is our 4th visit to Boston, our son has lived here for the past 3 years (on and off), we have NEVER had to show our passports, and very rarely have we been asked to show our ID's (and if we have, it has been done very politely, unlike in this incident). Message to the management: if you want your patrons to carry their passports, please put that right up front on our website. Sorry, we will not be visiting your restaurant.More
