The hostess was accommodating to seat me without a reservation. A nice little table & comfortable. The waitress was pleasant & efficient. The pate was cold & the only accompaniment were a few Gerkins. The bread basket would have to do. Very disappointing onion soup...although the restaurant says”Best in Boston “. No body to it whatsoever!More

I would say the worst French restaurant I’ve ever been to! Considering I’m currently sitting in the bathroom puking Overly Salty steak 👎🏻 Frogs legs were a joke ! Breaded ? Sorry but why ?Couldn’t understand that & it came with a bed of basmati...rice & chopped pico de gallo something that is definitely not French cuisine , Sent back Creamed spinach had a taste of camomile tea ,disgusting! The manager was nice however the food quality ruined our evening, & now my stomach!More

A lovely quaint little French restaurant. We booked here to celebrate a special ocassiom whilst visiting Boston for a couple of days from the UK. Larissa was our Waitress who was outstanding. She made us feel very welcome, and bought us a complimentary aperitif. She...also playfully provided reading glasses (as I left mine at home !) so I could see the menu. We ordered the Angus NY streak (rare) which was cooked perfectly, and a bottle of Decoy Cab Sav which complimented it nicely. The service was very attentive, but not intrusive. The deserts looked fabulous, but we were beat. Next Boston trip, we’ll definitely return, but ensure we don’t have such a large lunch, so we can take full advantage of the gastronomic delights. Thanks you Larissa for such a great everting.More

The hostess was nice to set up an extra chair for the 3rd person since I booked for 2 by mistake. The waiter took orders quickly and the food was served hot. Service was a 4 The appertizers were given 4; French onion soup, escargots...and mushroom soup were very good. We ordered 3 main courses: pan seared ray fin too salty to eat, sweetbreads Wed Oct 5th also too salty, and pan seared sea scallops, not salty but all three scallops had sand in them, inedible. A 1 was given. So 4+4+1=9 was a fair score. Definitely not to return.More

Been awhile since I was in Boston, but Ma Maison is one of my must visit places. Very laid back, excellent food and service. Really like the new outside seating they've set up since Covid.

This is well worth a visit. The food was delicious and served piping hot. I had the Oyster’s, French onion soup, Steamed muscles in a white wine and shallot sauce. Followed by Crepe Suzette. The whole experience was absolutely the best we had in Boston....Well done to the management and the team.More

My wife and I had dinner at Ma Maison the other night. It was a positive experience generally. First, the food was excellent. First-rate French cooking. You won't go wrong on the food. Second, the room is very attractive and well-maintained. Third, the service was...over-worked. The staff is ... understaffed. Our waitress was handling 6 tables alone, with 2 of them 6 tops. No way she could keep up. Although she sure tried her best. Fourth, the wine list is limited and frankly not very up to par for a restaurant such as this. That was disappointing. The room is extremely loud. Just saying that if you are looking for high-energy, this is your place. If you are looking for a quiet dinner, it is not. All in all, I recommend the restaurant highly, especially if they get a bit more staff and a better selection of wines.More

Excellent French food and service. I had escargot and frogs legs (picture). We ate inside due to high heat, but there’s nice outdoor dining as well.

In Cambridge, we took a short Uber ride to Ma Maison, just over the bridge. Close seating but had that Bistro feel. I had oysters, she fois gras - both fab. We both got the veal chop which was huge and filling. I probably ate...half of mine. And creamed spinach. Nice outing and complimentary bubbly for our anniversary. Nice.More

Yummy food!! So many times there are “fusions” of cuisines. I am far from a French expert, but this restaurant appeared to be the real deal. Either way, it does not matter. The only thing left on our plates at the end of the meal...were the used cutlery. We dressed up for this meal but we were pleasantly surprised with the casual attire.More

Definitely will return. Started with the best lobster bisque ever and French onion soup. Main dishes: frog legs perfectly sauted with julienned carrots, green beans and asparagus spear; liver and well carmelized onions and crispy bacon. Both were very large servings, so no room for...dessert while there. Brought napoleon home.More

French cuisine and French owners so you would expect excellent French dishes. We took the oysters as appetizer who were size 1/0 so smallest you can get. Than we took the suggestion Bouillabaisse with lobster. The bouillabaisse was not made with real bisque. It tasted...like a tomato soup with some fish and a very small quantity of lobster. For me this was not a restaurant with good French cuisine!More

What a delightful restaurant in Boston. We enjoyed a meal on our last night in Boston here and what a treat it was. The starters (pate and steak tartar) were both tasty and enjoyable. The best course was the main course, the lamb shank simply...fell off the bone and was full of flavour with the cous cous and vegetables. The beef steak with red wine sauce was also cooked to perfection. The dessert choices are great and the chocolate mouse was lovely and light. The drinks choice here is really good. We went for a traditional French red, which paired well with the dishes we had. The service in this place is exceptional, the staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit as this was the best restaurant we ate in whilst in Boston! It’s also in a lovely area of Boston and a night time walk in the area after the meal was a lovely experience.More
