I brought home many sweets (lobster tail, linzer cookies, macaroon, etc) but the coconut cake was to die for! Seriously, you MUST get the coconut cake!! Also, the creme brûlée unfortunately no longer had a crisp top when I got home, but the custard itself...was delicious! I would absolutely go again!More

You’ll be lucky to find a better bakery in Boston than Bova’s. Innumerable choices, all fresh, plus excellent customer service. I went with the peanut butter cheesecake and the original cannoli. 10/10 on freshness and flavour.

Let’s start with, they were very busy. Oh my the pastry’s. We had just eaten dinner down the block and walked up to Bova’s. We ordered and did not check the order before we left ( so that is on is). When we got back...to the hotel our order was not everything we asked for and stuff we didn’t order. We still tried everything that was in the bag. And it was all very good. Just check your order before you leave and you won’t be disappointed.More

What a lovely and fun place! Just pastries as far as the eye could see... we just came in to try the Boston Cream Pie because we'd heard about it. It was very good... not really life changing, but yummy all the same. Would come...back to try some of the others, because there were MANY options. Super nice ladies that served us.More

Our second visit to this delicious bakery. Exceptional cannolis. We had the crème brûlée and chocolate chip. Worth the wait in n line. It looked long but moved fast.

Don’t waste your time in line at Mike’s and Modern. I’ve been to all 3. Bova’s is hands down the best. Bonus, open 24 hours so plenty of opportunity for slower times with no lines. Amazing selection. Best cannolis. This was my 3rd trip to...Boston and we purposefully booked an Airbnb a few blocks from Bova’s :)More

Modern vs Mike's? Nope, the winner is Bova. The filling is better. The Florentine cannoli was our favorite.

My 8 year old and I woke up early and took a walk around the North End. Hearing about this bakery, and seeing that it was open as we walked by (24 hours), we decided to try the desserts. A fan of sfiotegelle (spelling?), I...was persuaded by the clerk to try the Lobster Tail. To that clerk - THANK YOU. It was sweet but not in an overly powerful way. I didn't grow up on cannoli, so didn't try them, but felt like all of their cookies were truly authentic and reminded me of the ones my grandma made (cream cheese pastry with raspberry filling). My daughter and I ate our goodies outside of Paul Revere's house (only ones there). Special memories for sure!More

After a fabulous lunch in the Northend, we were told by restaurant to check out Bovas, for our dessert!! WOW!! The line at 3:00 pm was more than we’d anticipated, but clearly an indicator of quality!! YES. We got a mix of cannolis and milanos!!...SOOOO GOOD!! We enjoyed these treats for the next 3 days of our stay!!More

The florentines and the lobster tails are amazing. Wonderful selection of sweet treats, something to suit everyone’s palate. This is one of the many great bakeries in the North End. What makes it different is the fact it stays open 24/7.

Lobster tails left a lot to be desired as did the tiramisu. Plus they quoted a price and then charged double. Much better options in the area like Mike’s and Modern. Disappointing and really not up to the standards of New York Italian pastry shops....Not worth the visit.More

Less sweet than the cannoli’s at Mikes Pastry’s. Did a taste test between Mikes and Bovas two popular bakeries in the North End. All of their pastries looked mouth watering. I’d love to come back and try one of those lobster tails. I definitely prefer...the less sweet cannoli. Was too excited to eat it before I snapped a pic!More
